Stop being melodramatic. Have you never walked out of a movie as soon as you realise it's crap. Clearly you are the type of person that's happy being a victim.

Go and watch The Dark Knight, it'll put things in perspective for you, or one of the original Disney Herbie films if you're still feeling fragile.

Or you could actually ....... Nah!

Well, thanks for the warning. I was half planning to watch it... I think I'll wait till some TV channel airs it.

"Boohoo look at my bitchass complaining boohoo"

If you want to whine about things you could easily have prevented, get a blog. Obviously, if you want to moan about things you have no chance of preventing, get the story from the BBC, put a question at the end, like "isn't famine terrible?", and make a real thread.

Sin City was watchable, but 300 and the RoboCop sequels should have more than destroyed any favorable impression anyone could have of Miller's scriptwriting ability.
That, and the man is a right-wing asshole. In some cases, this wouldn't bother me, but it colors his work all over.

Having watched such cinematic gems as "Dracula-the Dirty Old Man", "The Killer Eye", "The Avengers", and "Feast II", I cannot believe this film is that bad. Of course, I'd find it worse, as the Eisner "Spirit" set the bar so high it's never been regained.
My advice? Read the Eisner "Spirit" and pretend that was your movie.

You're telling me, a lot of the movies that critics hail as masterpieces turn out to excruciatingly dull and pretentious, I get the impression that many of them have never actually red a book before.

The killer wasn't all that intriguing, but I rather enjoyed watching the poor son of a bitch that was being hunted as he tried to figure his way out the situation while slowly coming to realize just how far in over his head he was.
After he died, the movie went downhill amazingly fast, and I'm not sure if I could call it a good movie with a disappointing ending like that, and certainly not a masterpiece.

Anyway, you don't have to do everything a film critic says, or even agree with their opinion, to get something out the review. For instance, I disagree with Robert Ebert on just about everything he has ever said. As far as I'm concerned, he is a pretentious, moronic hack with no discerning about art or philosophy.
That said, his reviews are very useful because I can get a general idea of what I would or dislike based on his arguments and language.
