Arthroscopy

The blessed Chris

On Tuesday, I underwent an arthroscopy on my right knee to remove a haemotoma and small fragment of my knee cap, all of which resulted from my being a little overzealous/dedicated playing football, and dislocating my knee cap. The original injury happened nigh on a month ago, and, as might be imagined, through incapacitation, my right leg has suffered substantial muscle wastage. Which is a bit of a bugger, all things considered.

Beyond following the advice given by physiotherapists, would the good people of NSG, either through experiance or knowledge, advise anything else to quicken my recovery?

push yourself hard. Remember that PT and all that good stuff will give you some really good exercises, but you can always be doing more.

Got to be careful coming back from injury. I've a nasty habit of going too hard too soon and end up wrecking whatever I injured again.

He should push himrself but do it sensibly. Better to go a little easy and not susitain further injury even if it does mean it takes a little longer to get back to full fitness.

Excersize it often and excersize it carefully. Once it starts to become failry painful you should take a break and go back to it once the pain subsides. Treat it gingerly though.
