How to keep things dust free for two weeks
Does anyone have any good ideas on how to keep my room dust free for the duration of my time back home? I am leaving for Christmas break and I was trying to come up with some ideas on how to keep everything nice and dust free so that when I get back I can come back to an immaculately clean dorm room.
Do you thing that covering everything with paper towels would do the trick? I would tape it over my TV and PS2 in order to keep it all nice and clean so that dust does not accumulate and I don't have to come right back to school and dust my room. And yes, I am a neat freak I know.

Take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. :)

Buy this, and leave it on high while you're gone. It should really help (although it is a bit pricey): http://www.vornado.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ISC_Category=AQS+500#

I know you'll think this is a haha silly idea, but from experience: buying masses of cling film actually does work. Secure the edges with tape.
But, in 2 weeks with nothing happening in the room, little dust will accumulate anyway.

it will take more work to keep dust from accumulating than it will to dust when you get back

... plastic trash bags. cut the seams and you can use them as dust covers. also your PS2 and tv (depending how bg) can be put inside a bag and taped up.

Dude that's just weird...
Just suck it up and dust the damn room when you get back
Put old sheets over your desk/bookcase/cupboard etc.
Bam, solved. And you didn't need to cover everything in paper towels either :S

For just the monitor and PS2?! Just dust it when you get back. Even I don't consider that to be too much work, and I hate work!
But all other dust should be handled with a cannon. Specifically, an I.G.N.O.R.E. Cannon.

Hire a maid.
You win. Essentially the best way to avoid doing work is to pay someone else to do it. If you can't then bawww... we all have to dust!

Run a good air filter, starting with about... oh... two weeks before you leave, and you'll have very little dust left in the air to settle.
