I know we have historically supported dictatorships when it suited us, and trust me when I say I have no faith in humanity as a whole, but even my horribly jaded and cynical mind was a little taken back by this.

**This is somewhat dated.**

Have you read his books?

Please keep NSG titles cleaner than this. Forum titles appear on classroom nations in our NationStates for Educators classes.

"Relativley Disturbing Shit" changed to "Relativley Disturbing Stuff".

Thanks.

No, I'm afraid I don't have the time to read any of his books because I'm currently reading a few texts in mathematics in order to prep for grad school. I don't agree with everything Chomsky says, but I do share his cynicism. I'm skeptical of big government, I'm skeptical of multinational corporations, but I'm also skeptical of anarchism. This is why I'm going into academia, so I can delve into my studies and drown out this stuff.

Hurrah for the refuge of academia!

Until a foreign-sponsored dictator marches onto campus, rounds up the professors and has them shot :p

No, no, no! That's what we do to other countries. They don't do that to us. If they did that to us, they would be monsters. When we do it to other countries it's "securing our American interests abroad" or "protecting our American 'values'."

Eugh Chomsky. I don't like many US presidencies, but he really chafes my biscuits.

It grinds my gears!

It burns my ass!

It plucks my duck!

It chars my rolls!
