Have you ever played the War on Terror boardgame?

About a month ago a found this boardgame on sale in an art gallery and have only just managed to play it recently. I find it huge amounts of fun - comprised of various amounts of satire, psychological mind games, deceit and vicious backstabbing. That and it came with an awesome balaclava with the word evil stitched on front.
So I wondering who else had heard of this game, and what they thought of it.
http://www.waronterrortheboardgame.com
- contains lots of interesting and funny quotes, images and reviews about the game, as well as much info on how the game is played an its rules.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the creators have had a huge amount of trouble trying to get the game stocked by retailers. I find the story about what happened when the game was sold by Zavvi for approximately 5 hours before being taken off the shelves quite amusing. http://www.waronterrortheboardgame.com/order/unwilling.php

i wonder if i can find a flash version of itMe and a couple of friends are thinking of trying to program the game in C++. The biggest problem we're concerned with is how much you can ad-hoc in the game. That and the psychological element is harder to convey across a game than face-to-face.

On their website. At £29.95, I might get a copy, but it's rather expensive.

It comes with an EVIL balaclava!
I've heard about this before, and mean to get a copy one of these days.
i never buy anything when it first comes out, can't usually afford to, and need other things worse. in a couple of years, by then it ought to find its way to the bargin bin, after nobody remembers or any longer cares. then i might check it out.
it DOES sound good for lol's. not everything that sounds like it might turns out to.
Looks amusing. Also, do want evil balaclava.

Good morning, and welcome to NationStates General. We're a fine friendly international community, and one of the best forums on the internet.
However, we would appreciate it if you used correct spelling and grammar. Many of our members are not native English speakers, and even those who are often find themselves confused by excessive abbreviation and slang. Furthermore, we've found that taking the time to express oneself clearly often vastly improves the quality of posts, and therefore of the discourse here.
As a result, I'd appreciate it if you could use proper English* in future, and possibly also refrain from overuse of profanity. We aren't offended easily, but we find that your contributions are much more likely to be worth reading if they are well written and politely phrased.
Thank you, and enjoy your stay.
*Exceptions exist, of course, but it's a good rule of thumb.

You know on this board we like to spell correctly and swear only when necessary. We also don't put asterisks in shit.
Edit: Beaten, but I won't delete this because it has more weight if 2 people say it.

ah i have an objection with friendly, i've seen alot of posters who are not friendly.

It will be a new learning experience then won't it?
and it depends how you measure quality, and quality does not necessarily equate with improved discourse.

Thank you, and enjoy your stay.

yes but you've avoided his statement entirely and chided him on his use of language, a bit of an insult in itself isn't it?

Well, yes, that's true. However, it is a much nicer place if we are, and we normally are fairly friendly by net standards.
It will be a new learning experience then won't it?

No, not necessarily. I know people who can very eloquently say absolute crap. However, if one is unable to collect one's thoughts enough to express them clearly and coherently, it is less likely that one's thoughts will be of value to the discussion at hand.
People swear all the time here.
Oh yes, I know. But we generally swear at each other. It's different, and besides I always like to try and get newbies into courteous habits to start with.
do you work in a hotel?
No, I administrate at least one forum of my own, and thus do it reflexively.
yes but you've avoided his statement entirely and chided him on his use of language, a bit of an insult in itself isn't it?
Well, he didn't exactly say much, and wasn't particularly coherent at that. As he was a new poster, I felt some friendly advice on the general bearing of the place might be useful, and a shade more welcoming than just ignoring him.
Mad hatters in Jeans is trolling, haven't you realized he is just trying to bait you, Universeverse?
