Who uses them here?

I tend to stay away from them but this morning I just needed something to boost me, so I treid a 5 hour energy... I think it was spiked with Meth or something! I immediatly got a horrible stomach ache, and all it entails. I didn't get the promised burst of energy for 2 more hours (I spent the meantime in misery), it kept me from sleeping well between work shifts, I am still twitchy and my heart is still racing... never again... 13 hours after imbibing it I am still feeling the effects.

I regularly drink a couple of cans of Red Bull each day. I'll even drink them when I'm not tired, because I like the taste.

I have a rule: NO CAFFEINE OR WAKEY DRUG AFTER 4pm!

simple, but effective. They are terrible drinks. Of course, I have consumed them, and often will if I am really having trouble staying awake at work. The problem is they don't wake up your mind, they just stop your body from sleeping/relaxing.

Since I've basically got no work to do until the start of next term, I might try that at some point.

The caffeine probably just gave you the runs. Coffee does that too.

My energy drink of choice is sugar free V. I will have up to four a day when I'm studying (as well as coffee). I occasionally have Red Bull when I have Jager bombs, but in general I try to avoid energy drinks when I'm drinking alcohol. After all, it's probably not the healthiest combination.

energy drinks + alcohol is a great combo.
you stay on your feet no matter how drunk you get.
and if you get laid that night night you don't have to worry about whiskey dick.

I usually manage to stay awake just fine - however, ever once in a while I drink coffee or energy drinks (I prefer T400 with 0.03% caffeine which is pretty much the same like Red Bull but cheaper).

Generally have coffee, and frequently a protien suppliment. And a vitamin. Took creatine a few times. Drink red bull and such on rare occasions.

I also like taking Emergen-C.

I haven't run into too many others who take it though.

I only have energy drinks if I need motivation and/or need to wake up.

They are fantastic for both purposes. I love them, though I prefer Vaults more than anything.

I used to drink Ol' Glory all the time. Its the essence of democracy in a can. Unfortunately, the communists of Wal-Mart decided to stop supplying me with it.

Reality show crews practically run on it.

I use 5-hour in a pinch, haven't had any ill effects and got exactly what was advertised. Only when I'm in danger of falling over or swerving into traffic.

Have a 1.5 litre of Coca-Cola around about three times a week, if I have the money. Regularly drink way more coffee than I should, 3-4 in one day, every day, if it's the holidays and I'm not going to the supermarket to get some coke. Occasionally I'll pick up a V (local energy drink) from the supermarket as well.

I don't really feel caffeine any more.

Edit: Oh yeah, one time took a bunch of No-Doz because I was worried I'd fall asleep during a concert I went to. Had an oversupply of them and time, and I snorted one of the bastards. That shit has a worse drip than Ritalin, which consequently just made me feel real bored, but I was teeth grinding as hell.

I've taken them, not too often because the effects are disastrous for your system.

So you have never had a Jagerbomb then?

Which is when I usually have energy drinks (such as Red Bull) with alcohol or if I am smashed by dinner time and I am heading out again I will then have one or two cans either straight or mixed with vanilla vodka.

Either coffee in the morning, or in the afternoon I usually pick up a Monster Coffee Energy drink; they're like 3 bucks, but it'll wake you up faster than anything else. and no horrible crashing!
