Today's the Independence day of Finland. On this day, the Grand Duchy of Finland seperated from the Russian Empire in the year 1917. 91 years ago. In 91 years Finland has grown to a good country with reasonable economical power. So, how many of you non-Finns care about our independence?

Here's a wiki article on the decleration of independence:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland%27s_Declaration_of_Independence

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Eating breakfast or dinner,
Or snack lunch in the hall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

You're so sadly neglected
And often ignored,
A poor second to Belgium,
When going abroad.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland has it all.

I thought Molotov, the Russian general, did?
He's right, according to wikipedia...
The Molotov cocktail, also known as the petrol bomb, gasoline bomb,or Molotov bomb, is a generic name used for a variety of improvised incendiary weapons. Simple to make, they are frequently used by rioters.

The bombs were derisively named after Soviet Union Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov by the Finns during the Winter War.

Yeah, many Finnish hockey players play in NHL. And, that kinda messes up the the roster for Team Finland.

I just remembered Teemu Selänne, Vesa Toskala and Mikka Kiprusoff are also Finnish. How does that mess up the roster of the Finnish national team? They don't play in the Olympics?

Not, if they are busy in the NHL. In fact Selänne quit the national team for awhile to focus on playing in the NHL. Rumors say that he's offered to play in the national team next year.
