And a McDonald's cheeseburger at that!

Man allegedly assaults girlfriend with burger

Thursday, December 4, 2008

(12-04) 14:52 PST Vero Beach, Fla. (AP) --

A Vero Beach man faces a domestic violence charge after authorities said he assaulted his girlfriend with a cheeseburger. An Indian River County Sheriff's Office arrest report said a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend got into an argument as they sat in a car in front of their home.

The report said the man would not let the woman out of the vehicle, so she threw his drink out of the car. In response, the man allegedly grabbed her arm and smashed the cheeseburger into her face. The pair got out of the car, and authorities say the man again took the McDonald's sandwich and put it on her face.

The man was released on $1,000 bond Wednesday.

No, you can't beat your woman and you can't smear your sandwich all over her face.
Of course, we'll have to see whether throwing a burger is just as wrong, or if trashing someone's drink becomes a legitimate defense for getting physical.

So, is throwing a drink in someone's face also assault? Because if thats the case, a lot of ladies Ive met at bars are goning to be hearing from my lawyer...

it can be assult. however if you said a "verbal assault or had any unwanted physical contact with them it can be ruled justified." Verbal assault can be viewed as a threat especially if it is a smaller woman.

It slipped. I was trying to present it to him and got a sudden back spasm. He looked hungry. There was a sudden gravitational shift. It was self-defense. I didn't know it was loaded. His mouth said 'no', but his eyes said 'yes'.

I would assume that it is assault.
However, I would question why it is that there are so many women in bars who would want to assault you...?

That someone spilled your pint is basically a legal defence for giving them a sound kicking in the UK.

its (usually, and usually the corporatocracy's media) wanting to hide actual news, so they feed us two headed cows as infotainment instead. or shouldn't i say anything that close to the truth?
