Political Turkeys

Anti-Social Darwinism

The political turkeys this year, Pumpkin and Pecan, were duly pardoned by another political turkey (and one might wish to think about other Presidential pardons going on during this last few months of Bush's Presidency - a sight less innocuous than a couple of edible birds).

The story, as you can see, is pretty well biased against the whole procedure.

(Perhaps Obama won't pardon anymore turkeys).

Don't kid yourself that these empty political gestures will save you all when the turkeys rise up against you.

I used to think that the only thing more pointless than pardoning a turkey was complaining about a harmless holiday tradition that has been going on for over a century. Now, I realize that one can be even more pointless by pretending George Bush invented the idea.
