Political balance

This forum is politically unbalanced however do not fear some lizasaur from South Lizasauria is here to bring heterogeniuty and internet justice to the masses!
Many times I have played devil's advocate here in an attempt to bring balance to the forum however it was in vain. Then the thought occurred that maybe instead of just using my drama skills to play an opposing role on one sided threads maybe I try certain issues.
Please list as many underrepresented NSG issues for me to represent.
An a more serious level, I do believe this can actually be beneficial to the NSG environment, this whole "left wins and everyone else loses" attitude tends to make the environment here stagnant and boring.
Issues so far:
Whale hunting by Japanese
Star Trek would win against Star Wars
Opposition towards hate speech laws
Support of military intervention in other countries
Blouman Empire

"left wins and everyone else loses" The left only like to think they have won.
Issues not represented enough: The hunting of whales by the Japanese.

Well I personally argue against the NSG mainstream on quite a few issues. Might I suggest that you argue against hate speech laws, and in support of military intervention in various foreign countries.
Or, for something lighter, you can take the Star Trek side in Star Trek vs Star Wars. :)
For underrepresented issues, I don't have much. I'll second the whaling suggestion, but their's not a lot of big issues that don't get some coverage. Though genetic engineer/human cloning and nanotech/artificial intelligence are ones that come to mind. I love the tech debates. :)

A) no threadjacking
B) You have let your misguided feelings blind your judgment, it's either that or you have to practice getting your percentages right. To think that even the humorous bits were serious is both sad and laughable.
C) To say that I haven't done what I have done over the years on NSG, and that NSG isn't predominantly left wing, and that NSG possesses political heterogenuity is the truly quite unmistakable wronge uninformed bull and if you tell me that YOUR libelous BS was 200% serious I'll laugh until I die, reanimate, laugh some more and repeat this cycle a few times.

Why do I have the feeling you retroactively became a devil's advocate in those threads in which you were, for lack of a better descriptor, getting pwned?
I prefer someone who plays a devil's advocate to be, you know, good at it.

Remember that thread where people were actually supposed to play devil's advocate and argue for the other side? Remember how only the crazy left-wing intelligentsia participated? Funny, that.

Because I stated that I did in the OP???

Wouldn't want to strain any of you guys.
Intentional follies should indicate that I am pretending to hold a belief rather than actually believing it.

it's actually pretty sad, that, from my experience, when a leftist tries to "play" right wing, they actually make better arguments than the right wing themselves, whereas in the converse, the right wing seems to think that most liberal arguments boil down to "I want to do what feels good, fuck everyone else, nyah!"

I thought you were the kind of man who liked to get all the facts first rather than jumping to hasty conclusion. You disappoint me.
I shouldn't blame you though, only a few noticed them. Like those posts that contradicted themselves, its unbelievable how many people interpreted them as a single lone argument.
I thought you were the kind of man who liked to get all the facts first rather than jumping to hasty conclusion.
I am. You've provided about 5,318 of them. I'm with Rydan on this. You never "played devil's advocate". Just a stream of nonsensical BS from South "men are like toasters" Lizasauria and, when you got called on it, decided it'd be awful clever of you to try and hit some reboot button while yelling "devil's advocate, I didn't REALLY mean that men can't help but rape women!" The problem is, the motivation is blatantly obvious.
In short, A good arguer doesn't need to point out when he's making his own arguments and when he's playing devil's advocate. A good arguer can stand on the strength of the argument. You, on the other hand, have demonstrated absolutely no ability to make even the slightest bit of a comprehensible argument, thus your "offer" to do so is, at best, laughable, and the fact that you are sitting here trying to convince us that you're really some wonderfully skilled manipulator and you had us all fooled, when you're trying to recover (poorly) from having your ass handed to you so many times, and you actually think we're going to fall for it is, frankly, a little pathetic.

No your not. Your argument is mathamatically flawed. It is unbeleiveable that you'd say that my character hasn't changed one bit over the course of four years and that EVERY SINGLE post was false. That statement alone is nonsensical and childish, and furthermore based on the fact that I know what kind of tactics you use and what kind of people use them, and given that you have recently displayed pompous behavior I believe it is safe to say that you sir are quite childish. Also your "this one thread was nasty so logically because I'm the high and mighty lawyer with a degree and I say so all threads and posts by the poster in question must be equally false even if they state universal facts(including ones preceeding said nasty thread)" And to make sure your zealous mind isn't "confused" I'll make certain the meaning of universal facts are clear (ie, the sky is blue, gravity attracts celestial objects to one another, plants produce food via photosythesis ect ect.)
When you say comprehensive there's the twisted left wing NSG zealot comprehension (which is highly limited) and there's normal comprehension, I am curious as to which kind you speak of.

How do you expect people to believe that you're capable of giving a good argument in devil's advocate when you can't even write a fucking paragraph that's not so horrifically mangled as to leave me unable to reply because, frankly, I can't even figure out what the fuck you are trying to say?
And to make sure your zealous mind isn't "confused" I'll make certain the meaning of universal facts are clear (ie, the sky is blue, gravity attracts celestial objects to one another, plants produce food via photosythesis ect ect.)
I will respond to this only because by very point it amuses me:
1) the sky is not blue. The sky, being made up of mostly invisible vapors, has no color what so ever. The blue tint you see is a result of dust particles in the atmosphere being the right size to scatter blue wavelengths. But "the sky" being comprised primarily of nitrogen and oxygen, is quite transparent.
2) while it is true that all "green" plants use photosynthesis, it is not a requirement for ALL plants, and not all plants do so.
Hell, two of your three "universal" facts are wrong.
As for the third, jury's still out on that one.

Your original argument that claimed that every single post of mine remains false, childish, uninformed, mathematically and logistically flawed. How can the deliberately warped toaster thread magically make all posts before and after automatically false?

However, Losing arguments are losing arguments...You have to accept defeat and move on to the next Debate...
Complaining about the Political Leanings of the forum members themselves, regardless of what they may be...

The left is not a monolith. We don't all agree on everything, and there are varying left wing ideologies that are almost diametrically opposed to each other.
I can list a whole bunch of things I think we need to stop talking about for awhile?
The left is not a monolith. We don't all agree on everything, and there are varying left wing ideologies that are almost diametrically opposed to each other.
Just like the right, honestly. I don't think you're going to find a classical liberal that will ever agree with a neoconservative, or paleoconservatives and neoliberals, and so on.
