Isn't it amazing the mischief one can cause with nothing more than a well placed piano? :D

Take only pictures, leave only footprints and pianos.

Fugitive pianos!

Mine had better not try anything like that, or I'll hobble it with a cord. It knows it, too.

But so far, the investigation is flat.

But the police are in tune.

Does a bear Liszt in the woods?

I've heard they're very good with Chopsticks.

True. And once they catch the person, they eat them with tonic.

The mystery is more fun, undoubtedly, than the reality.

If it has a serial number, though, you'd think they could find out who bought it.

Unless it belonged to a relative who died and it was given by the relative's grandson to a friend who helped him move some furniture from Massachusetts to Connecticut. Besides, what would the crime be? Littering?

*blink*

The puns in the article...they make me laugh/groan.

Probably some teenager pulling a prank.

Heh

"Hey, what happened to the piano?"

"Um...what piano?"

"The piano I spent a fortune on...wait, what did you do?"

"Um..."

*On TV*: Police have found a mysterious piano lying in the woods.

Good luck getting out of THAT situation...

I'd have put the piano in a public restroom, but I guess the woods are sort of the same thing.

I wasn't thinking it's a crime -- just returning it.

Maybe it was a stolen piano???

Maybe it's hiding out from it's wife.... maybe it's a player piano!

At least it was just a piano. Could you imagine stumbling across a random organ out in the woods?

If a piano plays in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?

So this rabbit's playing the piano in the forest and a bear ambles along and asks 'Hey rabbit, do you know if shit sticks to your fur?'

'No', replies the rabbit, 'but if you hum it...'

If it is about tying people up with piano wire and dropping them out in the middle of national parks, I recommend against it. Sure, it seems like fun at first, but sooner or later you'll have to pay the consequences. Most states have some pretty steep fines for being in the park between dusk and dawn.

Good thing I'm not in the USA....

All I need is a willing volunteer and instead of a piano a harp. Then a clearing in a woodland.

I always thought pianos are little organs, no?

Two very different instruments, the only thing they have in common are keys for playing and pedals.
