Unreasonable Things to Fight Over

SaintB

People fight over things, people fight over land, people fight over food, some people fight over where they stand in line. I want to know, whats not resonable to fight/argue over? What unreasonable battles (verbal or physical) have you been in recently?

I had a totally unreasonable fight last night with an ex girlfreind. She unscrupulously attempts to borrow money from me all the time, when we were together, and now that we are apart. I always ask her what its for. Last night she approached me and wanted to know if I would be interested in helping her buy into a shipping company that souly works off the internet for orders. I asked her the address of the website and she couldn't think of one, when I asked about the name of the company so it could be looked up she treid to avoid the question. Eventually an argument broke out and after a half hour of shouting things (for instance how stupid she must think I am) she stormed away vowing to never bug me again. Certainly in my opinion a totally unreasonable thing to fight over.

Thats the only example of an unreasonable fight I can think of in recent memory I been involved in. Other things that are unreasonable to fight over in my opinion would be such things as sports, politics, sports cars, and TV shows.

No, I have very little extra money. She's just worse off than I am and I try to keep things freindly.. but I am going to stop associating with her. She's making it even harder than usual to date.

It tastes like a lot of things. Justice is another flavour reserved for the last slice. Also a hint of pride.

As for stupid things to fight over, I agree with the OP on TV shows... Especially ones like The Hills or something. Fuck.

so shes the psycho ex girlfriend.

its worth the fight if you can manage to piss her off enough to leave you alone forever...

not that that works with psycho ex girlfriends.

With my cordial if not outright freindly relationship with most of my ex's a lot of women I see actually think it shows how sweet I am; she's one of those rare ones that makes women I date think twice; she's far from the most phsycho ex I have and certainly not the last one who thought she could use me, or get back with me. I need to do more of my own choosing instead of letting them choose me. This is the wrong topic for this though.

Someone always trying to hit you up for money under false pretenses is not really an unreasonable thing to fight over, in my opinion. Maybe it would better to just say "no" and leave it at that with no other follow up, but if they won't take that "no" for their answer and they force a fight, better that than letting them slowly empty your bank account.

That said, I think the majority of things people fight over are unreasonable, mostly because I think the majority of fights aren't really about the topic issue, but rather about the interaction of the people involved. They almost always stem from the dynamics of a personal relationship or some breech in social etiquette or one or both fighters' ego.

Also, all topics that provoke NSG fights that eventually need the moderators to break up are unreasonable things to fight over.

I could have been involved in a fight last night. It started off as friendly banter with a Chelsea fan who was on the opposite platform to my friends and I. We were just ribbing him that Chelsea drew with Newcastle. Next thing we know, he gets pissed off, comes to the platform we're standing on and gets in my friends face threatening violence. At that moment our train arrived, we bundled on, me draggin my friend on. As the train pulled away the Chelsea fan punched the train.

But come on. Fighting over a football score.

Oh yes. Fuck playing on the controller with slower reactions. Or the one that will just not pick up the frantic tapping. Gaming is too important to lose because of a dodgy controller.

Thats as simple as who broke it in the first place.

It's not that simple though. I've had my PS2 for so long, it's been thrashed by all and sundry. I have no idea where some of the dents originally came from!

NSG threads.

Survival is always worth fighting for, up to the extremae rationes. Sometimes, ideals (like democracy, liberty, laicitè, justice) are worth fighting for up to the extremae rationes.

Everything else (traffic&parking, condominium regulations, idiocy) is quite relatively worth fighting for: generally, it's more the fuss of fighting for something than the damage you get by not fighting for it. That is, unless you feel like fighting for your own amusement, like in forum flamewars.

For a PS2 controller? For 30 Euros I can box and ship about half a dozen of 'em for you and have some left over to pocket... (might be a slight exageration in there with the price of shipping being the biggest cost..)

not that that works with psycho ex girlfriends.

Best way I have found to get rid of Psycho X GF. is to dated a Ghetto African American girl. first time gold tooth braided hair girl threatens to shoot said Ex for coming around all the time, Ex never comes around again.

Sadly when I broke up with said ghetto girl I realized she was more crazy then my Ex. luckily I only dated her for 2 weeks so the craziness moved on fast.

I shaved my head at age 26 during the summer 3-on-3 basketball tournament season in solidarity with my friends. We played well as a team as a result and even one one tourney (the Seattle Hoop-It-Up in one of the slow white amateur squad 6' and under divisions). But my mother went completely ape-shit and the resulting argument damn near got me disowned. I was between my first and second years as a teacher, and she bemoaned the shaven-head look as "unprofessional". My retort was "unprofessional? Don't tell the Marines." It was downhill from there.
