As a Northerner, I can honestly say that there is nothing more obnoxious than Southerners with too much college football pride. My friends were up from Atlanta and were drunkenly yelling out all the Georgia chants. I wanted to smack them

Ah, yes. SEC fans can be a handful.

Have you seen Colorado's student section though? They are all drunk, they start riots when they lose, they throw crap on the field.

I'm a Husker fan, and I can't stand Colorado to begin with, but I hate their student section. It should just be called section AH for asshole.

Today's Michigan v. Ohio State game is clear proof that there is no God.

Fine...

This thread is simply for college football fans here on NS to talk about college football: ranks, scores, predictions, players, coaches, recruiting, bowls. Anything like that.

Now, have at it.

God I hate SEC fans. It continues to baffle me how you can be a fan of a particular team AND their sworn enemy at the same time.

I'm just happy that Alabama is still #1.

I don't know, with the way Oklahoma has been playing (65-14 over #2 Texas Tech right now), I think they are the best in the nation. The loss to Texas was their wake-up call. When you are pounding the #2 team in the nation by that much, I mean, they are reminiscent of the 95' Huskers right now.

Sweet Zmobie Jesus! I was busy moving my sister and didn't get to see the game, but the score isn't all that surprising. At least the Wolverines don't suck quite as badly as the Lions... And at least the Big Reds managed to pull victory out of their collective arses and are going to the state championship...

As a Michigander, I felt Pain. As a Spartan, I felt joy. That joy soon turned to pain in Happy Valley.

I chose a school with absolutly no football team since 97.

Go hockey.

The crowd was interesting where I watched it. We had a big screen TV set up outside with two distinct groups, Michiganders and Ohioans and a 2m gap in between. One side was generally cheering (one more than the other, obviously) at any given time. The tension between the two groups was palpable.

Of course, there was a smattering of Pacific Islanders (from the unit replacing us) standing around bemused by the whole thing and wondering why we care so much.

But hey, at least my Chips are still doing well, aside from losing to Ball State that is.

With Notre Dame's unbelievable loss, and with their likely loss to USC this week, and with the likely Husker victory over Colorado, it appears my Huskers are going to the Gator Bowl this year.

Bo Pelini's first year and he might get Nebraska to a January bowl.

Happy days are here again.
