So, I'm playing Wow, and I'm enjoying it, I'm on The Venture Co. server if anyone wants to look me up. Anyways, while I enjoy doing the quest and getting the rewards, I don't think they provide enough funding for the things that I have to buy. I was wondering if anyone know how to make extra money in WoW so that I can buy stuff like wands, stave, and clothing etc.

Kill boars. Many, many boars.

It worked for the South Park kids.

Get 2 gathering professions. Seriously, mining is the shizzle, although the benefits of Skinning are pretty excellent (moar crit!) as well as the money. That and learn to do trades. I made a ton of money doing that kind of thing, then spent it all very foolishly on a Swift Flying Mount - a week before WotLK came out. Buh. 5000 gold down the drain, but ah well.

The primary method of grinding money is in two ways. First, quest/instance as fast as you can. Second, get a resource-gathering profession and grind that. Mining is usually the best.

The thing to remember is that the quality of your gear and the speed at which you can quest are directly related: the better your gear, the less damage you take per kill and the more you can kill between recharge periods. So be sure to hit up instances like Ragefire Chasm (or Deadmines, if you're one of those dirty Alliance) as quickly as possible because that's where the earliest blue gear drops.

That being said though, remember that your first order of business is to learn the class you're playing, and learn it well, because that's what will really build up your gold in the long run. If you're a tanker, tinker around with how to minimize damage as much as possible. If you're dps, figure out what combination of buttons maxes your damage. If you're a healer, figure out how to jack up your survival and healing to the max. Because I guarantee you that a quality dpser that can do boatloads of damage without pulling aggro, or a tank that can handle even newbie dpsers, or a healer that can keep a 10-man up on their own is worth their weight in gold, and you will make money hand over fist if you are known as a reliable member of a party.
