I'll be around London and have met NSGers before (threw up once, played dangerously drunken darts the other time) so I'll say sure, why not.

Yep.

In that case what's confusing about the average English Christmas? Especially the customary Christmas rape at 4.00 in the video? :p

I say York.... since we have at least two or three people living here, it's in the middle of the country (exactly half way between Londond and Edinbrugh) and on most of the major train routes. It's the logical choice *nod*

...

and also I live here

What do you mean "etymology?" British slang doesn't have a process of evolution or logic, it just happens.
It's like when "Joe Baxi" means "taxi." The official reason is that the words rhyme, but Cotopaxi and waxy also rhyme with taxi, but they're not acceptable substitutions. The only thing you can do is accept it and move on, or become violently angry and kill every British person you encounter.

All slang words have some sort of origin in "proper" English (of course, English is about as pure as a two dollar whore) and I'm rather fascinated by said origins and how they evolved.

I'd have to count myself out if we go to York -- I don't have the disposable income to spend on the train fares for that, even in their cheapest form.

Assuming I did, I'd need crash space overnight --- there's no way I'm making nine hours of train journey in one day, half of it after an evening with NSG.

I submit London, or possibly Birmingham. I also claim it's entirely coincidental that those are the two locations I can reach most easily.
