An idea for Blizzard entertainment

A prequel to Starcraft should be made. This prequel would tie up loose ends and cover how the UPL aka UED came to power, how the zerg expanded and overpowered their creators and how the protoss evolved from a tribalistic society into an interstellar empire.

No. All of this was covered sufficiently in the manual for the original game. I'd rather know how the Queen Bitch of the Universe gets assassinated.
Why bother with a prequel when Starcraft 2 is already well into the development process?

They should make new The Lost Vikings and Blackhawk/Blackthorne games instead. Not more goddamn Warcraft or Starcraft.

Fuck and yes. Why is this not already a thing?

There's always going to be more Warcraft, that's one of the most profitable video game franchises out there. Four games, five expansions, a series of shitty novels, etc; Blizzard is well and determined to beat that dead horse until money stops falling out. Also, the horse is a pinata. My metaphor hurts.

They should make a Starcraft MMOFPS, and one of the planets in the universe should be Azeroth and if they find it everyone in WoW is pretty much screwed.

Then they intend to beat it more a la EA with Sims.

Frankly they can get the sequel out first, it looks awesome from some of the videos. I used to play Starcraft a lot, it's very popular in China and more so in Korea, it's huge there.
We've been looking to do a Starcraft reunion match for years now, the delays are ridiculous.

Why would China ban Starcraft?

Why would China ban Starcraft?
I hear they are notorious for banning all kinds of games out there for the most mundane of reasons. If StarCraft is still going strong there then I'm amazed.
Then they intend to beat it more a la EA with Madden.ficst.

They only ban games that display the PRC in a negative light, or games that represent Tibet or Taiwan as independent nations. As far as I'm aware, StarCraft does neither.

I'd say it's more likely that Blizzard don't license the game to be sold in China due to counterfeiting.

I know that they've restricted World of Warcraft to a certain number of hours per day. You can still play after the five hours I believe you're allotted, but you gain no experience/loot/etc. People get a little too into it occasionally, forgetting to eat (until they die) or killing each other over loot. Or paying 170,000 gold for a drop (equivalent to $6798.30 by my server's conversion rates at the time it was reported, assuming the guy bought it all instead of farming for it).

Good gravy man! Just move to one of the low-pop realms where inflation is better and buy it there.

LOL That'd be awesome.
WOW and WOSC would be connected and the day Azeroth is found tons of terrans, zerg and protoss decimate the planet.:D

I don't buy it regardless. I'm a very sentimental person and have been there for three years and eleven months, so I can't make myself move. Plus I now have rl friends on my server!

Hrm. I suppose that's true; it's difficult to move back to someplace like Lightbringer.

It's pointless. Starcraft was never really good as a singleplayer game anyway.
They should work on Warcraft IV, and that's it.
Warcraft was their best game for singleplayer, and still is. Warcraft III and Warcraft II are contenders for the second best; I lean towards the III. Starcraft rocks for MP, but it never had enough substance and a good enough immersion to make it as good in SP as Warcraft. Plus, "Starcraft is Warcraft in space".

Ah, that nonchalant backhanded shotgun blast to the face - happy memories of my old 386 machine. I'd like to see a new Blackthorne too. Maybe not at the expense of a new SC (which I love, even if I haven't played in 5 years at least) but those deserve a quality remake.
