A split from another thread. It was turning into a discussion about caffeine, the jitters, being addicted, etc, etc. Anyway, I'm addicted to Caffeine, have been drinking since the age of three, and have yet to suffer any side effects. Except, of course, when I go without for nine or so hours. Then comes the jitters and the headaches. *Shudders*

Do you drink caffeine? Are you addicted? If so, how often do you take caffeine? How much? And how long 'till you get the jitters?

I hate coffee, with a passion. Can't stand the taste.

Having said that, I'll happily drink red bull until semi-crazy. I also drink a fair bit of tea, although minimal caffeine in there.

I drink caffeine in items such as Coke or other soft drinks that contain it, in chocolate and when drinking an alcoholic drink that contains Redbull.

I don't drink it all to often so I wouldn't say I am addicted to it.

I've thought about it, and I really don't care to. As long as I take it in small doses (No more then four cans a day, at least two) I should be fine. I don't get the shakes too bad, and I have headaches on a normal basis anyway. His liver was probably shot by the time he got out of high school, no?

Yeah fair enough then CM, your choice just wondering. Yeah maybe he was, he really needed to stop but couldn't get off the stuff.

I don't get the jitters, but usually different sides of my brain start to hurt like a mini-explosion went of. It starts off being very focused in one area (and it's at its peak around then), then spreads out (and makes the pain subside).

It's freaky. I thought it was because of my meds at first.

I like it, but I can't have too much of it.

Aye/Not really. Mainly been drinking tea since becoming a student.

I drink a leisurely cup of coffee in the morning (a very large cup) and a leisurely cup of tea at about 4:00 pm (a very large cup). I've tried doing without - I can't; I become lethargic and sleepy, eventually I will doze off for about 45 minutes. If I drink more, I can't sleep, if I drink less, I can't wake up.

I don't drink caffeinated drinks enough to be addicted. I do like Jolt Cola though.

I drink coffee for the taste. I've gotten to the point where I can't function without the caffeine, but I'm much more attached to my morning ritual than I am to the drug.

I use it at work for an energy boost when I pull 12 hours on Sunday nights, but rarely use it otherwise.

When I was in college I got addicted, but I stopped using it for several months and got back to normal.

I drink a fair amount of coffee and tea. I used to drink about 3 pots of coffee a day, when I was in the Regular Army. Still, I've never had headaches or jitters or anything and I'll often go a week or two without having any caffeine with no ill effects.

I drink a lot and no not addicted

Dont know why not I consume it in massive quantities but Ill go whole weeks without it and nothing special one way or another.

I used to work nights and black coffee is my caffine of choice, second being soda and a far 3rd some sort of energy drink (not a big fan)

Never consumed it in other forms such as no-doze

If I haven't had a coffee by 11am I get a headache.

I drink a cup of coffee in the morning to get going, otherwise I'll occasionally drink tea and coke during the day. But I occasionally go without with no ill effects, so I wouldn't consider myself addicted.

I don't drink coffee very often, but I am a soda addict, particularly Mountain Dew, so that's my principle caffeine source.

I love a good coffee!

I should drink it way way more often. I come home from college and there's either a beer in the fridge, or the kettles just boiled. Either will do ^^

Je parle français et je bois du café. Quelle option dois-je choisir?

I drink neither tea nor coffee. I drink coke and red bull and things like that now and then, but I wouldn't say I'm addicted.

I'm Longhaul, and I'm addicted to caffeine. It's not unusual for every single drink I consume in a given week to be caffeinated -- coffee and Coke exclusively, for days on end -- and I find that going even a few hours without some leaves me with a headache (which may or may not be psychosomatic, I've never bothered to find out). It's not big, and it's not clever, it's just the way it is for me.

Ben, si tu parle français evidement tu bois du café, donc c'est la seule option que tu dois choisir.

Facile non? :p
