Well I'm a student but I do work at times, like when I want to make some money for my next international trips and adventure. I like it, because I like the work that I do, the people I do it with, how it pays and the fact that I'm making money for myself. It feels good.
Woot 100% unemployed!
(that was me btw)
I need to get a job, but every time I pull my socks up I end up listening to the slim shady lp with a quart of glen's

Do you like your job?
Can you guess? ;)
No, it's fine.... it's sometimes interesting and challenging, sometimes easy. Probably the best job I have had so far.
But that doesn't mean I want to get up early in the morning 5 days a week and work! I would rather be relaxing, or learning, or posting on NSG!

I like my job, but, de facto, right now I'm a gentleman of leisure.
De jure, I'm still paid by the Navy, but I've got no duties and wait to be reinstated at my position at a shipbuilding corporation. Note the lack of the term "eagerly". No matter how much I like my job, I still like paid vacations better.

Of course not. Nobody does. If you liked it, they wouldn't have to pay you to do it, and they wouldn't call it 'work' they'd call it 'magical happy fun-time.'

Dunno, depends what I'm doing. If I was able to work as a field archaeologist, that would be sweet, even though it is hard work. If it was being some supermarket till troll, then probably not.

Let's put it this way : I'm off at the moment, but I spent the better part of today trying to find a solution for a problem we've got at work, and I think I just found it. Which makes me feel utterly brilliant.

This is a yes and no question. I did and didn't like my last job. The guys I worked with were great. I got to work loads of hours which therefore made me lots of mula (I was in the sticks, work was all there was to do). Finally I wound up getting bored with it all. I like hard work, I just have that "What's in it for me" attitude when it comes to work. A big paycheck every two weeks just wasn't enough, I didn't get anything out of it mentally. So I quit.
Now I've been unemployed since April. I enjoyed the first stint of being a bum. I went out and saw the world (well, just a little but it's a start). The second stint if being unemployed wasn't much fun because it wasn't out of choice, more like medical requirement.
But that second stint is over now. I can go back to work. Hell I could get my old job back for even more money now, but I don't know if I want to. I enjoy having the free time I have right, doing what I want to do when I want to do it. I don't enjoy having to be thrifty with my money right now. I want to head to the mountains this winter but that takes money. I also want to had some horsepower to my beast, but like they say, "Speed is just a matter of money. How fast do you wanna go?"
It's a cruel cycle this working business. We get a job to make money to pay for what we need and what we want, but when it is all said and done, we wind up with no time to do what we want with the money.

I like to be busy, and I like to have a sense of purpose. Right now I'm working to pay the bills, and my job is pretty meh, but I'd be at absolute loose ends if I didn't have some occupation to fill my day. If I won the lottery I'd be one of those people on a dozen community association boards or volunteering (more) with NGOs just for the feeling of accomplishment.

You know, I always wanted to teach History to High School Students but there is just no demand for it in my area, or in anywhere I could reasonably reach... so i went into a high demand field... to find that the demand is only for experienced people... now I would need to go get my degree again if I wanted a job in the field.
I do love to work, there is nothing more satisfying to me than accomplishing something and the best way to do that, no matter how small the accomplishment, is by working. My current job is not very productive but I am an entertainer, I get positive feedback that makes me proud of what I do, I bring a little bit of light into people's days and make them happy; an very rewarding accomplishment.

I like what I do, I just wish I did it in a better capacity.
I like to work in the sense that I like to get money so I do other things besides work.
Otherwise, there are few jobs I think people would do if they didn't have to. It's for that reason some people say work is slavery, but I don't think that way - I think slavery is just a teensy bit worse. But that aside, work for the main reason - earning a living - blows.
I actually love to be busy and doing something with my life, so long as it challenges me. My current job is relatively boring, as I sit in a computer lab for 4 hours at a time. Its very easy, and thus it bores me, and I want to quit it for something more challenging and exciting. I would rather be making a low wage working on a farm, or doing hard labor, than to sit around 'working' in an office/lab/store.

I'm lazy as hell so I hate work... Especially since I have two jobs. One as a teaching assistant and I also teach guitar.
The teaching assistant job is OK, but TA's get treated like dog meat half the time and the pay is extremely low.
Teaching guitar is where I make the most money (because I can set my own rates) but it tests my patience quite a bit since most of the people I teach are little kids who have no real interest in the instrument... They just do it because their parents want them to.
I think I won't mind work as much once I get my Ph.D and become an actual history professor.

I don't particularly enjoy working, but I already tried the unemployed bum thing for a while a couple of years ago...I found that don't particularly enjoy being flat broke either, hence the full time job.
I only work part-time, but I enjoy it. You get to meet some pretty interesting people and earn money, and where I work the closing shifts are so dead most of the time that we just fuck around and listen to the radio at $7.30/hr. The most real, actual work is done in the final hour before closing, and we're all out not much later than 2:00 on a 22:30-2:30 shift.

People are saying things along the lines of "if working wasn't a drag then they wouldn't have to pay you to do it" but if you won enough on the lottery to go on holiday for the rest of your life, would you honestly do that? I reckon you'd be bored out of your mind by the second month.
I hate working. Whether that is due to intense hatred of my job or just general hatred of work is up for debate. I'd much rather be some lucky rich heir and do whatever all day long. Since that's impossible, I'm going to school so I can get a job I like.

I own 4 businesses, there are parts of each that I like and parts of each that I dislike.
My major dislike of all of them is making phone calls. I would rather communicate through the web or snail mail. I despise answering the phone and making phone calls.
I don't mind working hard as long as I feel I'm accomplishing something. My husband's job sucks, he just helps people solve problems and when he is done, there are more problems to solve.....it's never ending. I work on projects, when I am done with a project it's done. I get a new project and I start on that. Hubby says we do similar things, but I really don't think so. Nobody calls me at 3am and tells me they have a problem with a project.

Depends on how much I won. If it was uberdollars, then I'd go into venture capital or something. If not, then I'd keep my job and save/invest/spend the rest.

I dislike working just for a wage. As a student, I'll willingly work all hours under the sun because the end result of it all is serving something better than my own needs or someone else's profit.
Whenever i work just for the pay I just think of Frito from Idiocracy.... "I like money"... complete with appropriate accent.

I like to work, and enjoy the state government job; however, there have been no pay raises for 2 years and likely none for the next 4 years. Being in the lower middle-middle class, my salary has never sufficiently increased as the upper class (top 3% of the pop) and corporations wanted wonderful government services (cops, police, garbage, subways, buses, nurses and so forth), but did not want to pay for the services. I don't think that it is fair, but I keep working and living paycheck-paycheck because I have to eat and have heat. Maybe now they will find out what that is like.
I love working, when I am trying to solve difficult problems. Routine is OK but some of the I.T. scut work I end up doing makes my brain feel like an extra appendage. As for money, I just need enough to get by, and a few small hobbies and I am happy.
Right now I am busy being unemployed and training for the endless IT certifications that lurk everywhere. I am on the CCNA which I have been warned is a bit of a bugger but I am having fun. I would probably be happiest with a huge library and endless bits of data to discover and problems to solve. I would also be happy exploring an unknown land but I was born at least a century and a half too late or maybe too early if we can get our act together and really explore space.
