A look back at Joe the fake plumber.

Why is it that puerile little cunts that go around spouting about the god of capitalism are such weak little cunts? You remember "Joe the plumber"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnK84mM5N-o

How could this guy complain about "wealth redistribution" when he himself was on welfare? That's like saying "I got bailed out by hand outs when I was down, but the rest of you can go to hell, stay away from the wealth I have now!" Who would think like this? Somebody deep in a fantasy that they're the only people worthy of being helped by welfare? What is the argument there? That you have the right to spout outright lies and misconceptions about somebody's tax policy because you spent tax resources at some point(s)? And everyone else who used that resource is just "unwilling to work", or something like that?

What is this, bizarro world? Are they serious?

Ok, the question is rhetorical. It's fairly obvious that they are just immature little twats who don't know shit, but still, it's ridiculous.

Ah Joe (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/uselections2008-johnmccain). Guess he feels dirty and used.

Seemingly disillusioned by his treatment during the election, Wurzelbacher continued: "You know, fame is fleeting, leaves you hungry, leaves you cold, leaves you tired. Fortune never comes with it."

Ugh. Why do these lame people believe they can truly capitalise on their 15 minutes of fame? Is this truly just a USian phenomenon?

He plans to write a book and has set up a website about "securing" the American dream: "It's to encourage the American people to get back in charge of government and to hold our elected officials responsible."

He said he would consider running for Congress in eight to 10 years, once his 13-year-old son has grown up. Until then, he said: "I'll be a mouthpiece for middle America - for those who are going to have to take back America."

It isn't the 1980's anymore, but, for some unfathomable reason, Mr. T has yet to return to his home planet.
This is the age of the has-been, the wash-up, the Shatner, the Comedy Central roast, the Family Guy reference, the cultural necrophile, the professional horse tenderizer. We not only give record contracts and movie deals to any idiot who appears on T.V. more than 10 times, but then we fucking watch those movies and buy those albums.

The phrase "famous for 15 minutes" was Andy Warhol's.

Andy Warhol's own art was so bad that it was fascinating (for 15 minutes anyway.)

Another one of his gems: "It's the movies that have really been running things in America ever since they were invented. They show you what to do, how to do it, when to do it, how to feel about it, and how to look how you feel about it."

Or perhaps this is more appropriate: "Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art."

idiots always think the're going to get something out of it. those that arn't born with a silver spoon almost never do. that's why so many voters went along for so long with the deregulation and privitization shuck and jive that the economic melt down is nothing more nor less then reality catching up with.

capitolism only works when it accepts a reasonably degree of social responsibility, and it ISN'T any kind of wild eyed procustianism to be honest enough to say so.

every once in a while, people seem to forget that, about twice a century, and then they go along thinking, imagining the're going to get something out of it, and then sooner or later it catches up with them. that's what a "correction" (in economic terms) is correcting!

well there were 47% of the voters going for McCain. Thats a big percentage in favour of capatalism. The majority didnt but as in all democracies all you need is the slight majority to end up running straight over the opposition. There is no difference between 50.000001% and 100% if you have that 1 seat advantage thats all there is

Which is why systems with multiple parties are far more interesting ;) If one has several big parties holding 30%, 20%, 20% and 15%, with the remainder divided by the others.. power is nicely divided.

by "capitolism" i take it you mean the kind of totally irrational and irrisponsible makiavellianism a simular percentage subconsciously use the term as a codeword for.
