When you use adblock, you're stealing the Internet! In fact, anyone who doesn't click on at least one banner ad every ten minutes is committing an act of economic cyberterrorism.
Do you think I like having sex with men? No, of course not, but I do it anyway to help keep the gay dating sites that advertise here in business.

Look at it this way: every time you see an Internet web ad that you hate, that's money the advertiser is wasting.

definately not "just you" in their appearent intention. however, in their appearent attempts to promote their pseudoconservative perspective, anyone who honestly analyses their retorical questions, at least i found myself freequently found myself finding them all the more reason to favor the more liberal, or more precisely simply the more RATIONAL, which to the particular questions asked, is/was the more liberal, answer.

so i think, virtually all of mccain's attack reteric, at least to anyone who thought about the questions rationally, rather then the knee jerk they were intended to inspire, pretty thoroughly much backfired in obama's favor.

well at least that's with those that were concerned directly with that particular political contest. but yes generally, i mean the whole underlying assumptions of the economic perspectives tacitly, supposedly unintentionally, implied, well the influence that's been dominant for so long has moved the supposed and appearant "center" so far to the right, that any movement back toward sanity could only appear a movement leftward.

that's how we've all been brainwashed to a degree. but it goes a little more subtle, and perhapse in this case unintentional then that, if you look at the underlying assumptions of roll playing gaming in genearal, as it has evolved over most of the span of its existence, those are pretty far 'right' of center too. even from its very beginings, with table top stratagy and tactics, and all those tacitly 'christian' mythos based fantasy rpg's, based, as almost universally they were, on their tolkinesque universes.

and i mean the whole idea of roll playing gaming as escape from responsible compromise, or actually building any kind of world it would be gratifying to live in, and instead centered around tactics of conflict.

the whole idea of experience points from how many 'bad' critters, spririts, et al, you killed, with seldom if ever a reward for non-fatal resolutions.

this was, i thing the basis of the moral argument against them. which also fell wide of its mark of course, by streatching the assumption to that being the only thing such simulations could ever be about, which is of course nonsense.

but, when you see almost no one, even on here, perhapse especially on here, i mean what are all the rollplay threads about, and i mean virtually all of them, either some sort of war/conflict on some scale, or athletic competition, so of course, to internet advertising agencies, how else of a market can this look, then one for a decidedly right wing slant?

Unfortunately for them, it's rather an incorrect assumption, as even an hour spent on NSG (which has an extremely high frequency of posting) will reveal that this community is not exactly most accurately described by the phrase "right-wing."

Even last time I was on II (quite a while ago, but still) or NS (more recently), left wing nations seemed to outnumber right wing nations, and some of the latter were obviously only right wing for the effect of "playing the bad guys" (in this case they were usually some form of brutal dictatorship as well).

i really deeply hope that is true. but if so, why (on the rollplay forums) the almost fanaticaly exclusive obsession with war, or the virtual warfare of team athletics? (is it because for several generations now, anything else as a form of entertainment, is that far outside of the common experience? or because of the stimulus to aggressiveness created by the repression of eros in the name of 'family' values? or possibly some other social phenomina i haven't examined/thought of?)

slightly off-topic but today I read online some comments from McCain supporters at his death-speech. One said, "After the next four years, America will never again elect an African-American"
which I think sums up quite succinctly the whole McCain supporter: Racist to the core, to the very pit of their tiny black soul (and yes I do see the irony of calling a racist's soul black).

I wonder if McCain is now having trouble sleeping, realizing what kind of people his campaign attracted. I would have a hard time sleeping, of course that's because I think about things waayy too much.

I figured, if they were that desperate for traffic, the least I could do is click their ad$ every so often and let the McCain Campaign sponsor NSG's dissing of him. :D
