I've been getting this odd feeling all day almost like I should be doing something festive...and all these fireworks and Henry Hoovers on top of wood only add to it

what am I supposed to be doing NSg? should I blow up the white house? how about Versailles? who here is going to be watching a mediocre movie or making references to it?

its Guy Fawkes night! what is NS doing to celebrate? *dicks about with sparklers in Westminster's general direction* (and if you actually did forget what with all the Obama stuff then shame on you Spanish swine!)

Put him on the bonfire,
And there let him die

Hence the socks. Plus I'd have to go outside and then into my car and then outside and then into the grocery store to get a candy apple... and then back again. I just go to the garage and grab a mandarin mkay.

Acquiring fireworks is much the same process but involves going on down to the gas station instead. (great location for fireworks isn't it) How about I just flick my lighter on or something... go chase the cat with it. Is that chaotic enough?

I was wondering what the hell all that noise was outside.

But yeh, I don't observe it for obvious national reasons....

well there's lots of fireworks round here, but i hadn't realised its the 5th. just another work day for me - makes no difference, and i got no time to enjoy fireworks or anything tonight. working on saturday, too, which is when both Winchester and Southampton are having their big firework displays and all that jazz, so i'll miss it again this year :(

ah well, i'll live.

though it always strikes me as odd that we burn the bloke who almost blew up the monarchy, rather than celebrate him. hmm.

... Henry Hoovers on top of wood ...

huh? Henry Hoovers?
