Fun things you are doing on election day!

To encourage persons to vote, I went to a street corner and waved this sign:

VOTE

SHOW YOUR TRUST IN THE LEADERS OF AMERICA

I wore a Nixon mask to get attention to the sign; I got a lot of dirty looks and few thumbs-up. Who else is doing fun things and making sure America votes?

I'm gonna celebrate, which is always fun, if the Commie Islamo-atheist ****** wins, should McCain wins, I will fall into hysterics, which is also fun, until the nukes start flying. Then I'll laugh some more before I die.

I'm (quite temporarily) abandoning my usual cynical disdain toward center-left capitalist politicians and getting enthusiastic for an Obama victory and presidency.

It feels so nice to be winning for once.

Tonight has Dwarves vs. Lizardmen and Goblins vs. Skaven. I don't know how the hell you'd split that politically, but the latter match seems more reflective of politics - dirty tricks, slippery runners, and all-around ugly process.

you can even have the tv on to the election results and as they get reported, you can have one team get advanages while the other gets more dirty plays. :D

Sweden doesn't have elections?

General Riksdag elections, together with county council and municipal assembly elections are held on the third Sunday in September every four years. (http://www.val.se/in_english/general_information/general_elections/index.html)

Check your calendar. It's not the third Sunday in September 2010.

The papers say they're expecting crowds at Dundas Square in Toronto. I wonder if they'll be projecting the results on the screens there?

I might go down and check it out.

Well, we don't have a TV in the area of the office we play in. Perhaps if I tell my Muenster Valley Stinkers (the goblin squad, dressed in blue) that they have to win or be thrown to Iraq by a troll named McCain, they'll get up the nerve to finally win a game.

The OP asked what fun things you're doing on election day. For the yanks that's today. Not so for most other people I imagine. What fun things are you doing on the third Sunday in September 2010?

The question was what I was doing on election day. It is not an election day. All it is is a name day for people named "Sverker". If it interests you, tomorrow is name day for people named "Eugen" or "Eugenia".

I would gather the laundry as I try to make that coincide on Sundays. Definitely not vote as I never vote at polling stations - postal voting a week or so in advance is much more practical and that way I get to ignore the entirety of the last voting week, which tends to be quote imposing otherwise with seven main parliamentary parties (nine in my local county council).

I'm afraid that I refuse to acknowledge Sarah Palin, in any respect, in the world of sports both real and fictional. I have mentioned countless times that she has proven to be a jinxer of hockey arenas. I want George Laraque to jersey her.

had a free coffee at the local starbucks. they were free to anyone showing their "i voted" sticker! (and you didn't have to buy anything to get one either, they were just handing them out, and this was all day, long before ANY of the resaults would be announced)

I'm going to endlessly annoy my mother for voting for McCain.

And my son is going to endlessly annoy me because I voted for Obama.

After I voted, I went to Whole Foods for oranges, firewood, organic cheese enchiladas and free coffee - seems like everyone was giving away free coffee to voters.
