sure, anybody can hazard a semi-informed guess about usian presidential electoral votes. but NSG needs a bigger challenge. so how about the party make-up of the 111th usian congress?
how many seats do you think the dems and reps will hold in the house? will we see any new lieberman for lieberman party members in the senate?

that's my bet for the senate too, though i think it will only be 40 repubs tomorrow night with a runoff in georgia
but what about the house?

For Senate, I think the Dems will pick up AK CO MN NM OR VA, and I'll stick my neck out for NC. So +7. For House...I'll wildly gamble on +20 for Dems, assuming they win slightly more and then lose a couple of incumbents. So, 256-179.
Governors...given I went optimism for NC, I'll temper that with McCrory winning, but Nixon taking Missouri for no net gain.
Don't know enough about state level races to say. And, what the hell, maybe CA's Prop 8 will fail.

my house guess is 271-164, though i would not be surprised if it hit 280ish either

Hopefully when it's over there wont be enough Republicans left to field a baseball team.
:D
But I'll guess 250 to 185 in congress and 60 to 40 in the senate.

The appropriate demonym, whether you like it or not, is either American or United States. US is an acronym, not a word onto which you can tack random letters. Get with it.
Party make up of the Senate is easy--58 or 59 Dems + Sanders and Lieberman, 41 or 42 R's. In the house it's more complex, but the Dems will probably pick up a good 20+ seats on what they already have. Including my District, most likely.
And I resisted my comment about the matter of the use of the shift keys.
