Having just eaten a delicious Chicken noodle stirfry, I felt compelled you ask you - what are you having/had for dinner tonight?
Oh my, that was one delicious stirfry, with all the crunchy veg it had to offer. Just fantastic. :)

As opposed to the pastry thingies with sausage in the middle, also called sausage rolls. I think you were asking the difference, if you aren't, well I gave up French many years ago :p

"Sausage in buns" just makes me laugh because I'm still infantile about buttsecks. So your choice was the right one.

It's only 2 pm here in CT, so I won't be having dinner for a while. I'll probably make myself a sandwich, or cook a frozen pizza on this (http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/400/5c/5c1579c7-5ab9-446e-88aa-be622b8f5c6c_400.jpg).
Braised short ribs.
Marinate them overnight in pinot noir, garlic, and rosemary.
Take them out the next day, grill them lightly (but don't complete cooking - just brown them).
Put into a very large dutch oven, and accompany with roughly chopped carrot, onion, celery, garlic cloves, portobello mushrooms, bay leaf, cracked pepper and salt to taste (after just covering with water).
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and let cook for 3 hours.
Skim off the fat - take the meat out.
Make a roux and thicken the broth, removing the bay leaf. Add red potato cut into chunks, and put the meat back in after removing the bones.
About 10 minutes before serving, add whole boiled tomato cut into large chunks, along with chunks of zucchini. Let cook for 10 minutes, or until the zucchni is done to your taste.
Adjust salt and serve.

A hawaiian pizza. As to the fishcakes - go to a fishmongers, ask for 200g of offcuts and get some potatoes on the way back, as well as some onions etc., then make yer own next time

Yes, it does looks kind of scary, but it's quite tasty. I don't know, I like seafood, I find calamari (squid) and I don't understand why some people find it eeky, other than the look of live squid. But this dish is a beaut. I love it!

I love seafood too - my comment was simply that it always looks scary. Don't mean I won't eat it! :D

ooh, i got a question: what time do you people have dinner, usually?
my g/f's family have it about half 5 to 6, but now she's at uni she's wound up like me and now has tea about 7 or 8. yet most of her flatmates seem to have finished tea by 6 at the latest, and this is seriously weird for me. we can't be alone in having dinner late, can we? O.0

Tilapia is yummy. I like to sautee it with butter and garlic, lightly make it golden brown and then eat it with angel hair "a caballo" (boiled and then sauteed with garlic butter and onions). *drools*

Here, the chow hall opens at 17h00. Of course, there are times when I'm busy there so it's either later or not at all. At home my eating schedule is erratic at best, so I'll have "dinner" anywhere between 16h00 and 3h00.
