Any fellow Brits been watching this, what do you think?

I'm not. Not for lack of trying. I just don't have the time which uspets me. The idea of it seems very sound.

I may jump in tonight without a clue of whats going on but fun times anyway. If only we had the internet set up in my flat then I could watch it on 4OD. Stupid BT not letting me call from my mobile to set up a landline....I mean how the hell am I supposed to set up a landline now!

I've never heard of it.

The premise is, whilst the lst few Big Brother contestants are in the house, Zombie holocaust arrives.

So the contestants and the lucky few outside are the last of the none zombies.

... and are people 'voted out'? :D

Thats a neat reversal. Its usually inside the Big Brother house that we find the lumbering dumb individuals incapable of performing the basic functions expected of living creatures.

Heh exactly. I work in TV, and I understand the script was written by those in the trade, and I have to say it's a good indication of some of the charector types you meet in this enviroment.

It doesn't really work as a series since the episodes don't have their own stories. This comes across like a feature crudely chopped into chunks. If you haven't watched it yet, wait for the "omnibus" - it'll make for much better viewing.

Peepelonia, how might the script be written by those outside the TV trade? :D

Though not one of your accursed lot, I have watched this, and found it most good.

The best bit is when the blond housemate upon standing on the roof of the big brother house, witnessing the zombie apocalypse for the first time says " Does this mean we're not on TV anymore?".

I agree that is does feel badly chopped but it has been good. All at once would have been much better though

Heh I mean I belive that it was written by a well known TV producer, somebody on the inside of making TV, rather than a writer.

I wouldn't really describe Charlie Brooker as a producer. Well, not at all actually. He's very much a writer.

Funny dialogue, Dismemberment, hand to hand...Headshot!!!!!!...Its salad days really. I think tonight is the last, alas.

I took a peek. God, the characters really are as bad as big brother really is. Turning them into zombies is actually doing them a favour.

The Scottish woman who was trapped in the room with the producer for a while in no way exaggerates the stupidity of some of the idiots that have drooled their way across that show.

Did they all die then?

Isn't that the typical zombie apocalypse ending?

-----

Now, I'm going to cringe and brace for the inevitable American ripoff- er adaptation. Sitcoms, Reality Television, our country's even cribbed Life on Mars from the UK and I dread to see how the CBS interpretation is going to be like.

Did they all die then?

Funnily enough a group of people specifically chosen to conflict with each other was unable to display the teamwork that the zombie apocalypse requires

(Note: not my analysis, shamelessly stolen from elsewhere)

Nice idea, inconsistent execution. Plus the ending felt rather rushed.

No, the Big Brother contestants seem pretty standard. Less inclined towards eating brains than the zombies* outside, but no smarter.

*Speaking of zombies, what are the chances of anyone saying the Z word in the course of the show?

It has to be said that some of them rose up above stereotype though. I was suprised at that. The blonde one with yer man in the house showed some bollocks. In the end it was the producer and the older guy who created the biggest fuck up.
