Yesterday I was having an argument with my parents about them telling me to 'get my life together' and 'do some work for once in my life'. Needless to say this was due to me spending yet more time on the internet and playing RTR, and ended in me ignoring them. However it did get me thinking - doesn't anyone havve anything better/more important to do than spend all their time on the internet?

So NSG, why are you here? Don't you have any work to do? Why aren't you doing it?

I'm just browsing while also writing an essay concerning libel laws and the media. Fun times...

I'm killing time until chow, and then I suspect I'll kill time until it's time to get ready for mission.

It helps take the edge off my day. Something to fill my time while I wait to speak to my special gal. :)

I come on when I want a break from something or I am a bit bored and can't be bothered studying even though I should. Yes I should be studying but sometimes it is more fun to pop on here read Nanatsu and VK0 crack jokes and sometimes join in. To have a meaningful debate and discussion with someone or just to debate with someone and have a bit of fun with the discussion or of course I post on FORUM 7. Haven't seen you post on there for awhile Belschaft.

same here. i work on a computer all day, so when i'm waiting for something or am in between doing things, i take a look around here for a bit. its currently my lunch break so i'm here while eating my Subway :)

I work on a computer most of the day and the workload can be a tad... variable from day to day so come along to here to pass the time and read n whatnot. Makes a nice little outlet valve for discussing/arguing etc.

All my friends are douchebags and figure school or a job they don't like is much more important than being happy, so I'm stuck with my internet friends. God that sounds sad. I'm just killing time to till the snow falls and I can spend the winter living in my car. Which reminds me, I should go register it for this year.

I literally have nothing to do right now. Waiting for my workplace to call me and tell me when to come in.

I Lurk. I watch people argue, enjoy some occasional lulz, and, in general, say nothing.

It seems as good a way of passing the time as any, including doing my TPS reports.

I look around for the laughs and to see the fights. All are fun!

I mostly do this while looking at facebook and AIM and type essays for school. At the same time!

I'm self employed, so I do whatever I want. I come on here when I'm bored, and the main reason I come on here is to hear people's opinions on different matters, it's interesting to me.

NS tends to be one of the things I have running while I'm at work. If I am not busy, and I don't feel like studying, I often end up here.

NSG helps me brain more good.

NSG is play for me.

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" the saying goes, but I have discovered from years of idleness that "all play and no work also makes Jack a dull boy." Not to mention stranding me in middle age with no marketable skills and some pretty bad habits.

As play, NSG is more worthwhile than most of the other things I do for fun. Not as intellectually challenging or educational as reading a non-fiction book perhaps, but roughly comparable to reading a newspaper. You don't read a newspaper all day, and I've learnt not to hang out here all day too.

I don't regret finding this place. At all.

Depends on what you define as a "life". One may argue speaking with many people from all over the world with widely different views about anything and everything as having more of a life than say those who go to clubs and what not. Please forgive the extreme run-on sentence.

I agree there... going to clubs, listening to shitty music, and meeting the same people all the time. Or.. staying home, listening to music you love, and meeting people from foreign countries and learning about them... you have a very good point!

It's a world better than those kids singing about Prop. 8. I actually could watch this all the way through. The kids actually have talent and the lyrics actually have merit.

I only am on NSG when I have nothing better to do, or while Im doing something else, like watching TV or am on some other internet site.

NSG is were I go when Im bored or am multitasking.

I come here because I have lots of spare time at my job, and NSG helps to fill that time with lulz.
