Yeah...I've kinda been Rickrolled in real life

I've got about half a dozen alarms which I use to wake myself up in the morning (I'm a very heavy sleeper), all of which make various different noises (My cell phone rings, my palm pilot buzzes, and I have it on good authority that the "Screaming Meenie" sounds exactly like the "Incoming Missile" alarm from a Marine attack helicopter). My clock radio actually has two alarms built in, one with the standard alarm-clock beep and the other can be set to the radio/CD, and I usually keep the radio one set to a static station. Like I said, I'm a heavy sleeper, and I often go to sleep with some form of music playing, so I never quite saw how more music would wake me up; the screeching static does the job reasonably well. Except for Monday, where instead of the normal ear-shattering buzz of background radiation I was welcomed to the waking world with Rick Astley and the dulcet tones of "Never Gonna Give You Up." Needless to say, I woke up pretty freaking quickly that morning.

I'm gonna be honest, I never expected to ever be Rickrolled in reality. It was just something which never occured to me. Now I know better.

Me too, except someone did it with a phone, we were just talking and they put the speaker up to a speaker or somehting, and it played Never Gonna Give You Up.
I actually laughed.

Years of practice. You need to make a serious commitment, otherwise you end up drifting towards conciousness, and eventually you need to actually go out and do stuff (Like attend class)

depends on how he grew up. if there was lots of ambient noise then he learned the to tune it out.

I got rickrolled IRL. My mate sent me what was supposed to be a video of his attempts at ye olde diet cola and mentos trick. Then I opened it and... voila.

Because you are boring, have no sense of humor, and wouldn't know geek humor if it slapped you in the face with a trout!

*slaps you in the face with a trout* :)

Klonor, I wouldn't really consider it real life. Now, if Rick Astley jumped out of your closet in his underwear and started singing, then that would be something to be worried about.

I think I'm going to have trouble sleeping tonight

My mom e-mailed me--an extremely odd occurrence given that we both live in the same house--supposedly with a video about cute kittens.

It was--you guessed it--a Rick Roll.

I can't say that I have. Then again, I've learned not to trust anyone. *nods*

On a side note, my cellphone's ringer is Tetris Type A music. (for Gameboy).
