A question about japanese myth.

So, long story short, I'm creating a champions character who teleports. The game is set in "Neo Tokyo" and my character is japanese. And I'm running into a roadblock when thinking up a "superhero name."
I'm looking for something that would refer to a japanese myth about something or someone who appeared and dissapeared, or existed in two places at once.
Failing that, if anyone could give me the pronunciation for the japanese word for "blink" I could work with that as well.

Instantaneous Tentacle Man?
Hard to announce yourself dramatically with that name.

Tengu are the first thing from J folklore that teleport that comes to my mind, although it's not their main characteristic.
I'd go with "meimetsu", meaning "come and go, blink", according to the dictionary, as that most likely fits your conception from what you've said. (Tengu would carry a lot of cultural nuance.) "Mabataku" means "blink" or "wink".
Japanese pronunciation is pretty simple:
The consonants are as per English. The vowels are as per Spanish. Syllables are CV or V.
A = father
E = egg
I = sushi
O = Oh noez!
U = boot
EI = Hay
The only marginally difficult sound above is the "tsu". Stick a reduced /t/ infront of "sue".

That is likely to be a myth NERV. Rule #34 remember? I doubt such a franchise would restrict itself to schooling age people. Or women for that matter.

It probably sounds better in Japanese....not that I speak any Japanese or anything....
Only if you're a naughty school girl. :p
They have to be naughty now? Political Correctness gone mad, I say.
