It rarely snows here and when it does it's in January, and it's a huge ice storm more than anything, so then I stay in the house and whine about how much I hate ice storms.

I'm a student. I don't have a job...actually I do, but since it starts at 11 and finishes at 4 , everybody else over the age of 30 is asleep.
Honestly, snow doesn't change my behaviour substantially; I might retreat into comfort food a little, and possibly drink whisky and red wine instead of gin and white wine, but realistically, I shan't change much.

Hooray for snow!
I go outside when it snows and play in the snow. Or make snow-angels. Or even snow-families when there's enough to go 'round. Snowball-fights.
When it snows during the day I also like sitting by the window and simply stare into the snow-filled sky, being mesmerized by the countless snowflakes coming down.
Man, can't wait for a decent winter to come this year!

Wow. I really wouldn't feel safe driving on dry roads where you happen to live if wet roads are dangerous.
Me, I go stuff my board in my car and head to the hills. It snowed a tiny bit a few days ago but didn't stay. I may just have to go set up a shrine :hail: to the Gods of Powder, get them to get on the whole snow thing early this year before I get a job (which happens to be why I'm not going to work tomorrow).

I love winter time - to be honest I think I actually like most weather with the exception being sunny hot with no breeze or 'muggy' weather not to mention the fine rain that obliterates your clothing but yeah... what was I saying?..
Right yep - snow, good stuff... but slush - ugh, quite disgusting - hot chocolates are nice to have whilst watching snow fall but then again so is whiskey or rum.

Snow is incredibly rare in this part of California, though it did snow on campus my Freshman year for one day. Normally in the winter we just get lots of really really cold rain. That's what I'm hoping for this year, as last winter was much too dry, so now we're having water trouble.

Basically. For example my town, Mt. Pleasant, has roughly 30,000 year-round non-student inhabitants and around 28,000 students, most of which return to their hometowns in the summer. So as you can surmise the town's economy relies quite heavily on students and the largest single employer is the university itself (followed by the tribal casino)
