Tastes Like Fish

So who here likes fish? Me personally, I don't anymore as I get older I find I like fish less and less, all fish tastes the same to me these days it seems and I havn't enjoyed eating any kind of fish (even tuna fish!) for a long time. But I am an open minded person and think that perhaps there is a perhaps some kind of fish out there that doesn't taste like every other fish.

So NSG, I ask you, what kind of fish do you like? How do you prefer to have it prepared? Etc.

Damn, this thread isn't about the fashion taste of British weather forecasting legend Michael Fish :(

On topic, I like Tuna, but find most other fish a bit too slimey. And I hate it when it is served still looking too much like a fish, if you know what I mean. I like to be able to forget that what I'm eating used to be alive.

I can still eat Tuna if its heavily disguised like in tuna casserole, or if its mixxed with a LOT of Miracle Whip, celery, cayan pepper, and a little bit of onion. But as soon as I taste just the tuna, I want to throw up.

And sorry, but I have never heard ofMicheal Fish

BTW, I have a good recipe for Tuna Casserole...

Egg Noodles, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Peas, Tuna (duh), Plain Potatoe Chips (I prefer Lays with ridges) and cheddar cheese.

Thats weird. Tuna seems relatively bland and inoffensive in terms of taste.

He hasn't heard of you either:p. He's famous in the UK for forecasting that there'd be no hurricane just before the 1987 storm. I also once had a dream he took over the world as the commander of a giant robot army.

I thought this thread was going to be about the taste of salty milk and coins.

It tastes like fish to me. It could be all in my head since I am allergic to almost all other types of sea food so maybe I'm subconciously rejecting it.

I prefer non-fish seafood, like Crab and Crayfish. But I enjoy Salmon, particularly smoked Salmon, lightly fried in butter and lemon juice.

I'll keep that in mind for my next thread.

I almost cringed... I love chicken like that though.

I dislike fish.

The only time (well almost only time) I eat fish is when it has been battered and deep fried.

There has been other times I have eaten fish and liked it though very rarely, but that is more to do with the sauce that was covering it and not the fish itself.

Actually I do quite like Smoked Salmon I eat that. And I suppose fish when it has been served in Sushi I have eaten that I suppose. I do like all other seafood though but not fish.

I love salmon and walleye, but I find tuna the only fish easy to acquire in the middle of a continent. Well, that tastes "right," anyway.

I ADORE fish. Love it. I could live on fish alone!

I have so many favourite ways to eat it. Let's see...river trout, freshly caught, gutted and seasoned, cooked on a stick over a camp fire, or on the steel grill if there happens to be one.

I love battered fish too, seasoned with cilantro, garlic, salt and pepper.

Fish soup...oooohhhhhhhh yyeeeeaaahh.

Truth be told, except for octopus (which I find really oily, and only like if prepared in certain ways), I love seafood pretty much anyway it's served.

I love fish, and really most seafood in general. Especially a good grouper or mahi-mahi.

I love most fish. Sushi/sashimi, grilled, cioppino, chowder, skewered - crab, scallops, prawns, shrimp, clams, oysters, calamari (if done right), halibut, sole, monkfish, mahi-mahi, good tuna (seared, sashimi-style), but the one that is the best, in my view is God's own WILD PACIFIC SALMON. None of this farmed Atlantic horseshit. Also, to get even more picky, I wait in terrific anticipation every year for the king salmon from Alaska's Copper River. Truly the king of kings.

I thought this thread was going to be about the taste of salty milk and coins.

No, that would be a thread on peachfish -- which is another kind of fish altogether, and one I love even more than salmon.

I have to concur on this point.

I love any seafood.

Had monkfish last night...pollack is great for a fish sandwich, salmon steaks, swordfish, tuna, shark, sushi, sashimi, you name it, I want it.
