So, with the Rays beating the Red Sox 3-1 tonight (YAY!!!!), it's going to be the Philadelphia Phillies vs. the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series. For all you baseball fans, what's your prediction? Who are you rooting for? Any comments?
Personally, I'm rooting for the Rays. It may be the only chance for a while to get into the World Series, so I'm hoping they take advantage of it (that, and after knocking the Red Sox out of the playoffs, it's the least I can do :D ).

Being at a college biased towards the Sox, Pats, and Celtics, it'll be nice not to have to listen to obnoxious sports fans talk about their precious Red Sox this world series. Peace & quiet.

Excuse me, the Phillies have appeared twice in 25 years. Get back to me when they get close to 15 years. I expect everyone to continue to count out the Phils. Just wait. I think it goes to the Phils in 6.
The series will probably go 6 or 7.
I'm pulling for the Rays, but I'll be happy with either team winning, especially since Blanton is with the Phillies now. I love that the Rays did it the right way, though, and Gomes is a Bay Area boy, so yeah... the matchup just rocks.

The Sox beat the Rockies last year, I hope the Rays cream them this year.

Ah yes, the "world" of the USA and Toronto.
As it is, the broadcaster (is it Fox this year?) must be royally pissed off. Philly gets a small share of an audience, but Tampa? So much for ad revenues.
