Government Visit
Who gets sent around when the military is doing back ground checks for your security clearance? I just had a knock on the door from someone who wanted information about neighbors I've never interacted with. It seemed a little . . . off. He flashed his badge too quickly for me read more than "Federal Investigation" but it didn't look like the word "Bureau" was on the badge at all.

Someone like that. When I got my clearance someone visited the people I lived next to for 15 years and they said he was just a "Federal government guy".

if he wont let you look at his badge, hes not a fed.
I wouldn't say one damn word without more information on who was doing the asking.
Fortunately I never let him in and had nothing to tell him other than "I never really interacted with them, and i think they moved." If I had information he was doing enough to make me suspicious I would of lied to him (probably just telling him the same thing I told him today).

He's clearly a Man in Black. Did your neighbors see any Aliens lately? Did the guy look like Jesse Ventura?

LOL. No, he had hair, acted human, and was wearing this ugly, hairy looking, brown suit not a nicely pressed black one.

Always ask if you can hold their badge. Cops and Feds will hand it over to you. They'll even write down their badge number without looking at it.
Don't ever invite them into your house either, they're like vampires.

AH HA! He's part of the Illuminati! Good thing you didn't let him in or give him any real information. *nods*

Depending on how much you like your neighbours, tell him that they never talked much, but did keep unloading large sacks of fertalisers from their car late at night, and that you saw them at the airport several times taking pictures

That sounds more than a "little" off to me.

That was me. :(

Bahahahaha, this is sort of true actually. They can't come in unless you invite them, but once they're there they can wreak all sorts of havoc with the rights you've just waived.
and what word would that be?

That's..... reassuring.

If I'd intended to give him any information I definitely would have. After repeatedly telling him I didn't know them he left.
It probably isn't helping my paranoia that the movie "The Game" is playing in the background, and had been playing when he showed up.
