I've heard a lot of disgruntled Republicans accusing Obama supporters of portraying Obama as some sort of Christ figure type messiah.
Well, if that is indeed the case, then who is Judas?
Discuss.

Obama's VP pick. He's waiting for the right time to have Obama crucified so that he can take office.

I would say Lieberman, but he in no way could be called a 'disciple' of Obama in any point of his career.

Hillary, I suppose. Like Judas, she's intelligent, valued by her own people, and has definite opinions on the direction the movement should go that differ from Obama's.
Plus she could use the 30 pieces of silver to pay off her campaign debt.

I dunno. Probably the Russians. Hating them is America's national past time.

Who are the Romans?
Since Rome controlled most of the known world at the time I would have to say corporate america.
The Judah of the Democrats would probably be Lieberman, the Zionist that ran with Al Gore in the year 2000, now he is campaigning with McCain.
Well their message isn't that Obama IS a messiah figure, just that he's being painted by certain people as one. In which case there is no Judas, unless those certain people also paint someone else as Judas. But that's stupid because the whole point of the accusation is that Obama is (and, sadly, he IS) portrayed as the Last, Best Hope for Peace (and Humanity). At least the way some people I know talk about him. I just think it's sad that this society can turn "the least evil of the Two candidates" into some fantastic leader when in reality, no matter how smooth Obama is, he's still just a better alternative, not much more than that. Could be wrong, maybe he'll lead us to the promised land, but I don't think so.

Ssek, no one ever said the "promised land" had to be a place you would enjoy or find easy. Take a look at Israel's history if you want a prime example of that.

Its funny that theyre so pissed over all Obama's support, yet the Republicans felt the same way about Reagan...

Yeah, I've been laughing about the same talk about Obama, given that I still hear Republicans (and even a few Democrats) fawn over Reagan in ways that triggered my gaydar.
Never mind the talk I heard from evangelicals during George W. Bush's first campaign and early years. Seriously, Bush was God's man and America's defender, all wrapped up in a package that looked more like Alfred E. Neuman than the guy to be our 43rd president. But whatever the case, there was no criticizing the guy, even when it was provable that he'd screwed up.

As for Judas, I'm going with either Lieberman (for the newfound Republican allegiance) or the media, since I can't help but feel they're amplifying the guy to the point where he's bound to be crucified as today's economy falls through into tomorrow's economy.

No, no that has nothing to do with it the Russians wouldn't and can't lay back and say you deal with it yourselfs. Congress would be Rome.
The Jews would have to be the Democrats as they will want to crucify Obama should he divert from what they believe in.
As for Judas we will find out a week from the election when someone from with the Democrats will pull up something abotu Obama which will make even the hardcore Dem cringe.
Of course forthis Judas to work there needs to be part of the ruling democrats to be plotting against Obama.

On some rare occasions, Obama has gone along with the Republicans. Therefore he is not perfect and therefore cannot be the Messiah.

*takes deep breath*
I've heard the same...talk of "drinking the kool-aid", fawning over Obama, etc.
It's insulting to me...it implies that I have not taken the time to educate myself about the candidates.
For one, I have never potrayed Obama as anything other than what he is...a politician with Presidential aspirations.
Secondly...I took much time out of my own life to go over voting records, websites, and speech transcripts, and I decided that Obama was the candidate that best represented my interests.
Republicans are never going to win my vote by telling me I'm some blind fool "drinking kool-aid"...
...and yet the right wonders why they are losing.

Here's the thing though; if you elect McCain, you're just going to be putting in power another fool, and you're not going to be able to recover your Country's standings; I'm not saying Obama will make everything super-better all of a sudden, if he's elected, but it's a step in the right direction, and a step that America can't really afford to mistake.

I don't see what's wrong with having a candidate I actually like and am voting FOR, instead of just voting AGAINST the Republican. Why shouldn't I be excited?
Anyway, who is Judas? Hard to say. If Hillary had been more of a sore loser and said "Vote for McCain," she would be. What happened to that Zell Miller guy? I guess that just leaves Palin, as she is female (supposedly) yet doesn't appear to be much of a friend of women's rights, a traditional issue for the Democratic party. That's going out on a limb a bit, though, I'll admit.
