the price of gas in socorro new mexico was $2.96/gallon this morning. our highest price was just over $4/ gallon.

hows the price where you live? has it gone down or up in recent weeks?

dont worry about liters vs gallons or usdollars vs your local currency. we are smart enough to figure that part out. just let us know what you are paying today.

€1.35/liter ($6.95/gallon).

That's a lot cheaper than it has been and, incredibly, it's been hovering at that level for about three weeks now. Usually, for the last few years, the price would often rise or fall several cents on an almost daily basis.

I don't have a car so this doesn't affect me, but it's £1.10/litre around here, and has been for a few weeks. The peak was about 10p more than that a couple of months ago.

If you release gas loudly in a crowded lift, the price is some pretty dirty looks.

Around A$1.45/litre last time I got petrol, for standard unleaded (a bit less for the ethanol blend).

Probably not much point in converting that though, since it will make it look artificially cheap due to the Aussie dollar's collapse. For comparison, it's no less than it was before oil prices starting coming down.

I saw it for $2.69 here in eastern Kansas this morning.

I'm 25, and I do not remember any point in my life when gas was under $1.20/gallon. You are a living legend!

Okay, it's possible I just never paid attention, but seriously... since I started driving 8-9 years ago, the cheapest gas I can remember was at least $2.20.

I'm also 26 and when I was 16 it was about 85 cents a gallon, and I swore if it got over $1.25 I would have to quit driving.

You're getting it for $2.30 right now, though. I haven't seen $2.30 in... it's really hard to remember. I think a couple of years ago it got down to $2.75 and I wanted to stockpile it.

Also, how did I not know you were such a baby? :eek2:

And you with tiny genius kids! Tiny genius kids and cheap gasoline. Screw you, Smunkee. :(

Okay, quick check of the area shows the last time gas was below $2 was 3.5 years ago. So my memory doesn't go that far back. :P But I also didn't drive very much then, so... yeah.

1 UK Litre ~ £1.09 Petrol.

1 UK Litre ~ £1.21 Diesel.

1 UK Litre ~ £0.55 AutoGas

Petrol is going down fast. Few months ago it was the same price as Diesel, Diesel itself has slight gone down, but AutoGas has gone up alot, last year it was £0.36 a Litre.

i ain't payin doggie doo, cause i don't consume any. but the price, whatever it is these days, is still too low (in california america) to cover half even, of the real cost of its consumption.

recently in Australia there has been only a slight decrease. The falling dollar has mostly offset the falling price of petrol elsewhere in the world

Don't get too used to it. Now that it appears that Western civilization will not end up as primitive as the Arabs, oil prices seem to be rising again.

 I gave up my first car from high school, my beautiful Mustang GT, for a god damn gold Accord grandma car, and I pay $3.60+/gallon. I pay for my consumption.

EDIT: And if you ride a bicycle, I'm doubly mad. Learn how to obey traffic laws before you complain about cars!

I have generally found that the cars are more disrespectful to the bikes then the other way around. if the bike is on the road it has the same rules as any other vehicle. too many times on a green light cars turn left in front of bikes that have the right of way.
