Bringing the NS invading/defending game to Real Life?

One of the great things about NS is its rather unique style, particularly the invading/defending game where rallying people and mass immigration are the key weapons as opposed to building troops etc you see in most games.

I was thinking the other day whether this game could be ported into the real world, how it would work. At the uni I'm studying there are quite a few student clubs pursing various interests etc. Each club is governed by a constitution, and while there are differences, they usually follow a common template allowing for an extraordinary general meeting to held and recall elections for executives to called if "X" amount of members petition for it.

Based on that an idea I had was to form an organisation where we have people infiltrate clubs, and at a certain time, do the above, and see if can "invade"/overthrow the executives. Obviously certain ground rules need to be made; These are mock invasion only and we're not really trying to take over the club, there would be consent from clubs to participate playing this game etc [the incentives I suppose are publicity/exposure, (the mock general meetings could be social nights) and revenue (since to invade a club to need to join a club...), and possible increased membership as invaders find they like the club..].

What do people here think? Could it work?
