Apparently, House Dems are looking to push the second of two economic stimulus packages through, this one costing an estimated $150 billion.

Following the failures of the first stimulus package and (presently) the recent bailout plan, I feel that this will have little to no affect on the economic crisis at hand, and may have some negative effects down the road.

Besides, I can get my Viagra at the pharmacy for free with my medical insurance and porn online for free. Only problem is that there are negative side effects when my stimulus package lasts for more than 4 hours. :wink:

Well, people are going to meet for the G7 meeting. They won't have much to say about finance - Paulson is working on using the existing framework to copy the British package, the Europeans have shown themselves utterly incapable of agreeing on anything.

But what they can do is develop a common strategy of fiscal expansion in order to deal with the common recession. Methinks this is the start of the American part of such a deal.

The first stimulus package was a bad idea, this one is no better.
