Sickness from watching something

One day, we were watching on our History class a video about the murdering of jews by the Germans in the 30s. But then I started to feel like Alex from ''A Clockwork Orange'': My stomach started to turn and I felt like I was gonna puke. I've had the same reactioon before when watching an episode of 'Band of Brothers''. I don't have this when I'm playing a game. then I can differentiate from games and real world. It only comes when I'm watching something ultra-violent. Soe'a anybody else have the same thing or is it just me?

You've got a horrible degenerative disease called "morality." You also have the ability to differentiate between reality and computer games.

Those both can be cured, but I would advise you only cure one of them. I would suggest the morality infection. It's a hideous disease that gets thousands of people killed daily. Let me take you on a murder spree of Southeast Asia until your morality shrivels up and dies. It's a shock cure, but it works rather well.

One month with me and you'll be snorting cocaine out of the belly button of a teenage prostitute while shooting an old guy's toes off, using a puppy as a football, and ordering an entire village be turned into a human soup just out of curiousity as to how big a container you'd need to hold it.

Soe'a anybody else have the same thing or is it just me?I had a similar reaction while watching the letters on a page of "All Quiet on the Western Front" form words in my head. They were describing the injuries sustained from artillery and gunfire and I ended up putting the book down.

Indeed. Studies show no moral people have not died.

I got this reaction when I was in school. I had a history teacher who was obsessed with making us all aware of the Holocaust and comprehending the tragedy of it. I actually threw up when watching a doco about the experiments they did on babies. My mum complained to the school, saying that it wasn't really necessary to put 15 year olds through this kind of shock and awe crap (well she didn't use those exact terms). This one teacher just went overboard really bad - we studied the Holocaust for a term and a half. Nothing else about World War II or Nazi Germany. Just watched Holocaust videos and movies. What made it worse was that none of my classmates was at all affected by it. They just used it as nap time and joked about the subject outside of class.

SaintB immunized me against it by killing my hope for humanity. Sorry.

You haven't seen the Carthage video feeds. That's even sicker.

Those nazis didn't have the skills of the romans. In the end, they failed.

Studies of whether only the good die young are as of yet inconclusive, but we are hoping for some breakthroughs soon.

So what am I then? I barely batted an eye during those films.

Of course, I might have dozed off. History was boring to me and all.

Welcome to the club of sane, moral people who care what happens to other living beings and who know the difference between reality and fantasy. Here's your complimentary puke bucket. Keep it handy, you'll need it.

The only thing that makes me physically sick is when David Cameron appears on my television screen. His annoying smarmyness, his stupid face, his meaningless soundbites that far surpass any depths Blair fell to. Worst of all, no matter how much I wish an acme anvil to fall on him from the sky as he speaks, it never happpens. Now excuse me, I've talked of the man far more than is good for my health *projectile vomits over computer*

Violence only makes me feel sick when I'm actually seeing it or involved in it. If I'm involved in it I don't feel sick until a while after, when the adrenaline has worn off.

Seeing it in video form doesn't effect me quite as much, but I go out of my way to avoid watching gratuitous non-fictional violence.
