corporate media acting like star search or whatever its called, grading them on how well they danced, so they can avoid having to say anything factual or pertinent about real issues.

oh the vice candidates mentioned them alright, as flags and sabers to wave and rattle at each other, but i'd be real interested in anyone actually advocating DOING anything remotely interesting or useful.

and of course we all know the reason why they can't and won't, but don't want to admit to ourselves how we create incentives for this situation to exist and keep doing so.
