I think the humor is more of the "oh dear god, I need a drink" type of humor. You know the type of humor one tends to expect from the Bush Administration.
See, Kashkari is a former VP for Goldman Sachs. Also, incidentally, where Paulson hails from, and also, incidentally, a company heavily affected by the credit crisis.
