Another legend has passed on.

Another vestige of Hollywood's better days are fading away, leaving us with more and more druggie snots.

Life can be... difficult.

Just read it. Too bad. But he turned 83, so he's lived a pretty long life before he died.

(Can't really say I'll miss him for I never knew him, but I'm glad that his work lives on!)

I felt badly when I heard he had been diagnosed with cancer. He did good work, and I enjoyed watching his movies.

Does this mean my collectable salad dressing is going to increase in value?

Probably not; his daughter will continue it, I'm sure.

Yea tell me about it, i sold a modern 12 oz can of coke that had a misprinted label (not like a misspelling or anything just the color was a bit off and slightly missing) that i found right in a 12 pack for over $20 on Ebay.

Somehow, I missed hearing that he had had cancer until they announced his death.

I just assume that everyone who is 83 has cancer anyway.

The CNN.com obituary mentions that he made Nixon's Enemies List. Awesome! That must have given him a laugh.

Noooooooooo, now I wish that I hadn't drank that coke from Woodstock '94, two years ago, just to see how it tasted. I should've sold it. :(

This is terrible, especially for us Connecticut residents. I live in Fairfield, only a few minutes away from his Westport home, and I actually saw him a few times as I drove through that part of town. He was a real active resident, and if you waved, he always waved back. :(

He was by far my favorite celebrity...

He was a real nice guy, I met him at an SCCA event. I had always seen him there in the paddocks, but I actually ran into him one time exchanged greetings and niceties. He always had his age as the number of his corvette too lol.
