Slacker Uprising

Is it any good?
(Can't really tell 'cause DL is restricted to US & CAN, so I wonder if I'm missing some classic MM)
I imagine you could use a US based web-proxy to download it. Or "steal" it via bittorrent.

I dislike the title because Slackers weren't necessarily a political movement so I feel co-opted all of a sudden.
Haven't watched it yet though.

Never heard of it. What is it?

Micheal Moore made a documentary about the 2004 elections and is offering it free for download as of last Tuesday or something. He says he's doing it in the hopes of having a large youth turn out for this election. This. (http://slackeruprising.com/)
I watched about half of it and turned it off disgusted. It seemed to be more of a film by Michael Moore, about how great Michael Moore was in 2004 in trying to get people to vote. I didn't really see a purpose to it, other than him getting off on his own work.

Michael Moore is full of himself?! The Devil you say!
More's "films" (and I use that term lightly), are heavily edited to fit his own political agenda. They're basically two hours of left wing propaganda.

Oh, is he breaking some sort of right wing copyrights on propaganda or something, that I didn't know about?

Michael Moore does make use of the same techniques as the average unabashed right wing propagandist, that's pretty much general knowledge. It is very entertaining to see how irately some people react to his work... apparently they don't like to look in the mirror.

It annoy some of us on the left as well, though. We're meant to be the good guys.

Oh, Michael Moore? I rank his films along with the likes of Loose Change.
Interesting left-leaning documentaries being stuff like The Corporation and The Power of Nightmares.

Just to be clear, I don't like Rush Limbaugh and the likes of him for the same reason. So don't assume that just because I'm critical of Moore's work, makes me a right wing nut job,

Yet your sig says libertarian, which we all know are just conservatives that conservatives don't want in their party because they're too nutty.

Isn't 'Slacker Uprising' kind of a contradiction in terms?

And yet, he's become considered a powerful enough icon (of what? I don't know...) to deserve his very own parody movie...

Were those made by, whatshisname, Adam Curtis?
