and I would like to note that any action would've been about a MONTH ago. where a red card would've dissappeared a week of good behavior.

Avriia was an obvious DTA (dedicated trolling account). The OP didn't notice it... and he posted right in time before a mods invasion. And then there it came. And when a thread turns into a moderator argument, on any forum, you'd better delete your posts and get out, because you know someone will get warned or banned.

Depends on the forum generally, but: post deletion prior to a mod visitation doesn't usually help. even though the post has been deleted, the original is still visible to any mod who would care to look.

Incidentally, I believe this also works in the case of edits, mods can, if they so choose, look through the edit history of the post.

Though again it depends on the forum, and I don't know if Jolt makes that option available to the modly ones here.

More often then not? Yeah. But it could also be a tool for saying something flamey and then "retracting" it mainly to avoid getting in trouble.

I don't know, he seemed a nice enough guy, he's a new poster and I remember he has kids. Where one is new, one might not be attuned to trolls so well, even where people call a troll.

I'm not sure I agree with the Mod's handling of this, they're unpaid and basically volunteer so I'm not really judging but they could have been a little more explanatory and adding to this particular thread isn't really necessary.

Thing is, he wasn't a particularly harsh flame-out, I can see why he might be genuine in his concern rather than self-centred in his drama.

NSG seems a little low on posters anyway these days, where someone's a complete ass, fair enough, but I don't think Free Bikers was.

Let this thread die. Or someone lock it please. He's taken his toys and gone home. End of story.
