I just came across this now; my thoughts and feelings go out to the families of those who perished in this tragedy, and my hopes and prayers to those who were injured for a speedy recovery. As a rail commuter and rail enthusiast, I would hate to be in, and hate to see smashes like this.

It was pretty ugly this time. Local news has been having its typical 'field day.' Metrolink is going to have to shell out for this one.

I haven't watched any coverage, but from what I read in the article comments, the media has been showing very little discretion in what they broadcast. Typical for modern "journalists", I'm afraid.
