Do you view yourself as a hedonist? I've come to find that I very much am.

More or less. Pursuing pleasure is an end in and of itself for me. Nothing better than kicking back and enjoying myself rather than worrying about the billion potentially horrendous things going on in the world.

I'm reading 'A picture of Dorian Gray' at the moment, so that would be a no.

Do you mean an Ethical Hedonist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedonism) or a pleasure seeking, self-centered asshole?

Actually, maybe I am a Hedonist. Or at least vaguely. I'm very bad at forcing myself to do something that would be to my own benefit, but that I would not find enjoyable.

But then I don't really just see Hedonism as the pursuit of pleasure, but the pursuit of pleasure through depravity.

As if I could afford opium.

Hell, tobacco sets me back enough to make opium a hazy dream.

I believe Vetalia is still a student. So I would think financially. ;)

There are many, many things that I value above my own personal pleasure.

Financially, of course, although those Natural American Spirit Periques are pretty potent. They're hard to find, but well worth the money.

Alcohol is me own drug of choice, and it is drunk purely for taste -- intoxication is just a pleasant side effect.

That stuff is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone, even a Muslim.
