I can't. Not while Sudwerk Brewery of Sacramento, California produces its doppelbock and märzen brews. Don't get me wrong, Moosehead is a fine beer, but it's no Kostritzer Schwarzbier or Celebrator Doppelbock.

What the hell is a Celebrator Doppelbock? They don't carry that in my local LCBO!

Google is your friend.
It's largely rated as the best of its breed in the beer world. It's German, from Aying.

Google might be my friend, but I was hoping you would tell me in your own words why you love it so much.
And now having Googled it, I would have to say that the amber/dark nature of it would exclude it from my upper echelon. Although I imagine it's quite nice.

It's difficult to explain, so I thought Googling might show that it's a paragon of the doppelbock style from its many medals at brewing competitions worldwide.
I'm a fan of the darker side, and while doppelbocks aren't stouts, they're smooth, yummy and satisfying to a degree my words can't express. I just know I love the stuff. Apologies for not having the ability to express that better than Google.

Hey, I'll wash! It's Sunday, I remain bed-filthy until at least 1pm. It's my religion. I also must refuse to shave.

Hehe. No worries. Just my knee-jerk response when someone says 'go look it up'.
I now have family in Germany though, so one day soon I should have the opportunity to sample on these things on German soil. Hooray for 1 litre mugs!

Kostritzer is very nice, and Doppelbock as well of course. Goes without saying.
But I take it none of you guys ever tried a Zwerchla...

Fair enough. But I'm Canadian, and we keep our beer cold enough to negate 'taste' anyway.

Hehe.. no really. It translates as "little dwarf", from the dialect in and around my home town.
Unfortunately, only one of the 10-something breweries in my hometown and the uncounted breweries in the villages around it exports beer... the rest is consumed entirely locally.
And can you imagine what quality of beer such competition creates? In a town of less than 70 000 inhabitants? :D

I already checked... there's nothing about it online, I'm afraid. It's just one brand of beer from this (http://www.sternla.de/) brewery.
Edit : If you click on the little beercrate on the left and look at the picture in the pdf, Zwerchla is the bottle on the far left.
Acknowledge it.

Forget Munich, where beer is concered, it offers nowhere near the choice of Bamberg. :)
Well I think I'll stick to beer from now on and leave the wine and tequila shooters to the young-uns.

Speak for yourself. As much as I do like moosehead, it's sort of the beer I get if I'm somewhere that doesn't have the other beers I like (unless I leave the country) or if the other beers I like are overpriced, but really, I'll generally go for tankhouse first, then wellington county dark (although this also depends on my mood) and if I'm feeling like a fun beer, I'll get Fruli. If imports aren't too expensive I'll get Stella or Leffe(sp?), but I've found some good microbrews, both in Canada and in the US, although the downside is that I often forget what they're called (well, and I bought some when I was in Victoria because it was the last batch that was made of this particular kind).
