and if the gator had just swallowed your only child?

or somesuch unlikely but possible scenario.

No, no rules to live by can possibly apply without exception.

Tell me. after crawling naked and head first into a live gator's mouth... would that person be living?

if not, then it is not a rule to LIVE by. ;)

I personally like mummies. I mean, all you have to do is stay eeever so slightly out of arms reach. I interviewed one while it was trying to devour me once.
Oh, the good old days...

Yes, because if you do hug him you can't get rid of the bastard, he's picky as fuck about his steak and you end up dragging him to the mall and buying him rock climbing lessons.

Or am I way off base here?

All bad horror/suspense movies aside, if I were lucky enough to be able to touch a thousands-year old corpse, I think I would revel in the chance to hug it. Really, how often does one have such an opportunity?

Yeah, Mummy Rot sucks. 1d6 Con and 1d6 Cha damage until you die. Not a good thing.

It's a bitch to get rid of, too.

This rule has my official and personal thumbs up. I recommend that this rule become law for the betterment of mankind. I propose that all survivalists add this law to their personal guidelines to survival. One never knows when mummies will start attacking people...unless your Brendan Frasier of course.

Yes, at least a little bit.
But I feel that Brendan Fraser made it suck in a very real way.

What are you talking about? Mummy Returns was awesome. Campy. But awesome.

Scorpion King, however, sucked balls. And I don't even want to think about how bad Scorpion King 2 is.

Watching Mummy Returns was an okay experience, I guess...

It's just that I'd rather do something less painful, like shoot myself in the balls
with a nail gun.

Hugging mummies, eh? Well, usually mummies are nothing more than really dry corpses, personally I prefer to hug persons who are alive. But what when a mummy actually walks around? That sounds like a difficult situation, but the movies have taught me that walking mummies are usually not friendly towards those who just happen to be alive according to the regular rules of nature, and I also don't like to hug entities who are hostile to me. Call me picky, but that's just the way it is.
