I made Toby Keith Jealous!

SaintB

What do you think are your biggest accomplishments so far this year? Mine have all happened within the last month or so...

I got back into the single life when I told my money sucking somewhat abusive girlfriend to go to hell!

I was the escort for Miss Pennsylvania at the County Fair this year when she came to visit the local pageant (and she goosed me!)

While working my mascot job (also at the fair) I was getting so much attention that "The Big Bad Daddy" himself asked me to leave the stage area.

Landed myself a full time DJ job working for the variety radio station, at nights.

So what big accomplishments have you made this year so far?

Mine has never overheated, and its worth the monthly fees to play online. The fees pay for a moderated and constantly updated online service; much less cheating than you see on PC and PS3.

It is a legitimate Fourteener, and therefore on the list of 56, but it seems kinda cheap to bag a peak you could easily drive. It still counts, though. I haven't done that one, though. I'm still a n00b.

a year is a long time, here is this month-ish

-I changed a diaper (worst thing...ever)

-I've emptied an old ladies bodily waste bag (double worst thing...ever)

-I drank quite a bit even though I'm broke

-government records now have my name listed as Tinkerbell (this is actually rather easy to do if you know a police officer and have requested the file)

-I've wasted today on the Internet whilst other people did assign...wait a minuet the year is over...THAT BITCH!

Okay coming from you, I actually believe that... wickedness Intangelon!

If by "wickedness" you're referring to my blisters, soreness and generally creaky aging frame that wonders aloud what the hell I'm doing in mountain goat living rooms when they never come to mine (at least, not when I'm home, as far as I know).... I've got peak fever now, though, and I don't see it abating anytime soon. And this from an avowed acrophobic. I actually can't count the first 14er I tried, Mt. Quandary -- I chickened out crossing the saddle ridge to the summit. As it was, I almost lost my nerve on Bierstadt, and it was lightning that chased me off Yale after summiting (needed new pants after that, and not from soiling, but from using "five points of contact" to get down the slope as fast as I could...I speed-crabwalked, basically).

Regardless, thanks. I have never felt so alive.

Exactly. I mean, I always feel like starting the hike is a kind of chore, but when I'm halfway up, I get psyched and never regret starting up, no matter how early I had to get up or how much preparation was involved or how sore I feel afterward.

Now if I could only feel that way about lesson plans....

Yeah, lovely though immersing oneself in a single field of music for a week is, I needed a slight break on the piano in a spare few minutes - Brahms and Liszt did the trick, and I suppose others who heard it enjoyed the change as well.
