You are minding your own business when suddenly my army of gnomes finds out where you live then boards and locks you into your own house. How long can you survive?

Click here to find out. (http://www.oneplusyou.com/q/v/trapped)

How long?! The longest survivor wins ummmm I dunno a giant golden statue shaped like Santa Clause or something.

I could survive for 67 days.

It allows you to eat your pets but not your companions? Maybe they should link it with the cannible quiz and give you a choice on how soon you would kill off your competition.

I got 52 days.
One thing I noticed, which I think is rather important, is that it didn't ask about amount of water available. So apparently we're stuck inside our house but still get piped-in fresh running water.
How odd.

i'd be more interested in how long people will survive when the power goes off and groceries are no longer being delivered to the stores.

the problem with living off the land is that there's so too damd many of us, even those of us who have some idea where and how to begin, but there may well come such a day, when today's richest nations, people living where they are now, will be no better off, then those living in what are today the poorest, because nature isn't real impressed by currency for one thing.

tecnology is good as long as you've got the means to make it go. and better if the means to make it go doesn't have to come from burning anything.

but there's still going to be a problem with famine and disease when the iron fist of the international corporate mafia falls apart. i don't think anyone's going to be too worried about their gameboys, or missing the latest soap opera episode on television when that happens.

more like finding enough to eat that won't kill you when the refigerator stops running and you have to build a fire in the back yard to cook anything.

best chance of course is to find someplace away from town everyone else hasn't already beat you to, when there's no longer anything left in the stores to lute.

best way to do that of course would be to be already living there. though granted even this might be no guarantee.

well i am a little curious about this gnome bussiness, although i think they'd have a few mysterious problems of their own to contend with.

=^^=
.../\...

well mine came up with 188. i think you'd have to see all my answers for that to mean anything though, and i don't remember all the questions, let alone all my answer, but we do have everything we wouldn't be able to survive without, including 150lbs of nonparishables, and just the two of us.

I took the maximum approach, presuming I have at least an idea that not everything is all right.
One fridge and one standalone freezer in the kitchen, two older freezers in the cellar. I counted that as 30 lbs each - only non-perishable products, and those with official storage life of 3-12 months at RT (the real storage life is always at least 2-3 times longer).
Eggs can partially count, if first stored normally, then hard-boiled. Maybe re-boiling could help further.
Then 200 lbs of vegetables, including potatoes, in the cellar, they can store for 2-4 years at ease with basic care. Some flour there too, salted and smoked meat, probably 40 pounds total. ~60 lbs of food in glass jugs and metal cans, should be good for a couple years. Most of these come from my relatives running a small farm and being convinced that I need a lot of food. Again, I don't have decent stores in the area, so generally don't like shopping, if I buy, I load the whole trunk. Then there's some other, not too great food found around. Put total at 400. Really would be much less, but I take into account that I'd have the time to prepare. Of course, "non-perishable" relies on tolerating the taste of non-dangerously spoiled food. A lot of what we consider spoiled is well edible.

I drive a Diesel SUV, got a diesel generator, a small cistern and a few barrels with a reserve of diesel fuel, bought at the beginning of this oil crisis (it's storable for 12-18 months, so it saves a big buck). Some gasoline for the boat, but it spoils quickly, and I don't have a gasoline generator anyway. Two gas stoves and a few LPG cylinders, but again, no appropriate generator.
Water cistern, a few barrels for rainwater and for the garden, not sure if I'd drink that without boiling, but if I had to, I could. I know every gun eventually shoots, and large dongs hidden beneath the ground and the oceans will launch one day too. Not that I really think it will happen, but it might, and at least I try to make sure I won't be beating against the wall, screaming "Why in the world hadn't I spent just a day to buy supplies when I could?? Why??". Well, suffice to say my nation's name wasn't selected on random, if you know what it means.
There's a lot of leather clothing and a pet, but I didn't include them as I'm not eating either. Both are much more useful in the original role.

Gives this for single:
http://www.oneplusyou.com/q/img/badges/trapped_938_days.jpg

Practically there'd be two people unless my s.o. dies, so then 469.

But seriously, even 30 days would be lucky. This all relies on my fence not being breached, and it's not a castle wall, a car could crash it through, or just a man with some tools and effort. If the fence is breached... my windows are not armor glass, so whatever trapped me inside would get me. Well, I guess I could cement the windows, use metal bars. Still, given time, a normal home is not hard to breach. I have some weapons to defend myself, but it's also a quick way to die when the walls might stop M16 or AK, but not M14.
If I lived in a European castle, I would indeed count on living out until the food ends. Otherwise, violent death is the one to be concerned about, not hunger.

It's probably picked up a lot of flavours from over the years, depending on how long you've had it and how messy the people sitting on it have been.

Well, I don't live in a house, I live in an apartment. Even with two family, I could survive for 105 days. If alone, 335.

Yet we have weapons. We would assault and take the food from our neighbours should things start to become scarce. After all, they are just a door apart. Starting from the closest one, in an building with 22 stories and 3 apartments per story...

I could raid 66 apartments. Let's say I find something useful, like canned food, in 30 of them. I could survive without leaving the building for like...two or three years. I would even recruit some of the younger people to join the cause and help us to raid the rest of the apartments.

And I am not even raising the possibility of cannibalism, that could take us even further.

I'd give it an hour.

About as long as it would take me to find my chem-warfare stuff in storage, mix the approrpriate cleaning sollutions, and calmly watch those damned gnomes choke to death on the sweet sweet poison gas.

I'd survive about 541 days alone, living on just preserved food. In addition to that, I have everything I need to start growing enough food for myself indoor, and so I would survive until the gnomes got bored and let me out.
