Before Iraq...
What did Europeans (or anybody from another country) think about the invasion of Afghanistan? I know what you think/thought about Iraq...a big reason being that most Americans feel the same...but still, you really don't hear much about foreign opinions on Afghanistan. So, what say you, NSG?
And just for fun, what was your view of the U.S. before 9/11?

I can't exactly see why it was a bad idea seeing as how it was more of a "get those evil gits!" type affairs

I was 11 so I had a pretty nice idea of the US complete with gangsters and excitement

I thought it was justified.
Before the whole Bush debacle, I thought Ronnie was the last abberration of that kind of thing and Bush Snr a less obnoxious epilogue to his 8 year show.

Well I was an American in high school back then,
We needed to go to Afghanistan, but we did not need to enter Iraq.
Unfortunately we can't seem to remove the Stupid " republican" element from
society.
We really try but they just keep reproducing !

I considered the war in Afghanistan justified. I also support the war in Iraq in principle - Saddam had to go - but not the way it has been conducted - stupidly.
As for the US I don't have one opinion of it. I like the politics and people of some pats of it, like the North East, but dislike southeners as a lot of them are right wing gun-nut christian Nazi's. I also dislike Californians on principle - stop bleaching your teeth you left wing nut jobs! These are however obviously just generalisations - I know not all southeners are racists.
