Do you / have you / would you eat crawfish?

Ok, so if you do, have or would eat mud bugs the next question is do you suck the heads? I know the tails are delicious if properly cooked, a little tedious to peel, but well worth the effort.
Most of the wonderful juices from cooking remain in the body thus when you break the tail off a quick suck on the open body allows you to taste those wonderful juices and is part of the crawfish eating experience. Can't wait to get back to Louisiana and crawfish season.

Well, I have not eaten crayfish, but as I have eaten shrimp, lobster, crab, and other crustaceans, I doubt I would have any problem. Don't know about "sucking the head", sounds a bit improper and all. I did have some crayfish as pets for awhile, and they were entertaining. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything, but why not?

Hah. I knew there was a reason I don't feel like I can trust you!
Unless you're allergic, not liking any fish at all is a character flaw in my book!

Oh well, I'll have to accept third then, won't I.
(It's not my fault. My system is 100% intolerant of anything derived from crustacea, - Fish is fine though.)

I ate crawfish once. I hated them. To be fair, however, this was in a restaurant in California and they were frozen prior to cooking. A lot of foods, particularly shellfish, don't freeze well. Since I love most other shellfish, I'd be willing to try them again, this time properly done. I don't think I'd want to try the heads, though.

I have loved all seafood besides octopus since birth. May I have the honor of being your second husband? Give me all the crabs you want.

All that omega 3 is good for you. My favorite fish is mackerel which I haven't had in years because you can't get it around here. After that is trout which is difficult to get around here. Hope I can get both more easily in Louisiana. Bah, worst case is to drive a short distance to Arkansas and catch my own trout. :)

My preference leans toward salmon and halibut, but bass and trout are lovely. Shellfish favorites are crab, scallops, crawfish, shrimp, clams and smoked oysters (I can take or leave lobster and mussels -- it depends on the preparation).

Previously frozen then reheated crawfish are not food. They are garbage. I also doubt people in California know how to cook them properly.

i eat almost anything. My list includes
pig, cow, chicken, lamb duck, rat, mice, crocodile, emu, kangaroo, dolphin, whale, dog, cat, prawns, crab, lobster, oysters, countless fish, monkey, cockroaches and some wierd bug with pincers
So I would have to say that I would eat it. the real question for me is what wouldnt I eat?
Anyone still hungry?
mud bugs? the're just fresh water lobsters. what's such a big deal about that? and no, i don't care for the brain part of any living creature. besides being yukki, i think thats kind of sacred and ought to be give last rites and a decent burial instead.
and yes, i DO eat sea food, and 'see' food. i see food and i eat it.
just not brains and some of the other internal organs.
Anything out of a body of water larger than a bathtub, I'll foodgasm.
The important thing is they have to be cooked/prepared fresh - nothing worse than a badly prepared sea food.
Cheerio!

Saltwater Crayfish is a delicacy here. I've enjoyed it dozens of times.
Properly flayed, the bodyflesh is just as edible as the tail and legs. So, why suck on the head when you can eat the delicious meat?

Just remember, kids: Crawfish is a poor fish.
Why not just eat the carapace? I mean hell, you got molars for a reason.
